I am currently looking for a good steering servo. My choice is between the hitec 645MG or the 5645MG digital. My question is: My radio is a 2PEKA FM w/the old R123F receiver will the digital servo work fine w/this setup?

Yeah, as long as you've got a burly enough esc, or if you're nitro, a receiver pack (5 cell, not 4 cell AA alkalines. That doesn't seem to work so well)
If you can spring for it, get the digital. It's quite a bit stronger.

no prob.
Reason I say get the rx pack is because if you don't, the servo may drain more current than the AA batteries want to give. If that happens, the servo will think the battery is dead and lock into position. And you won't be able to drive the car.

the six volt battery wont do crap if you got a bec reicever because wat happens is that the bec makes it go down to 4.8 volts

Definately go for the digital(and get used to the whine they can make).I love the 5645MG I have in my buggy.

I'm using a 5645 in my Lightning Pro and it rocks. I use a 1200mah Ofna NiMh rx pac and can tell the 5645 uses more juice than the 645 in my MT does. I am using it with 3PK and a PCM rx - no problems. I think you'll be ok with the rx.
