Okay, I am sure someone has asked this question a few times but here I go...I bought a used (4 yr old) Tmaxx. It started once at the guys house but he shut it down because he said he didnt want fumes in his house. It was raining so we couldnt run it. Got it home and it wouldnt run. Took it to the nearest shop 2 hours a way and had it repaired. new piston and sleeve and new clutch and spring. Got it back and the guy ran it for me. It took a few tries to get it started but finally ran through a tank of gas. I took it home and tried to run it and it wont start. The guy has since quit the job and i have no contact. I replaced the glow plug and was told run four tanks of fuel through it to wear the engine in. I want to put all the three screws, hi speed, lo speed and idle back to factory and start there. Correct me if in am wrong. Screw the hi speed all the way in then 2 1/2 turns out. turn the idle all the way in and 1 3/4 turns out. what about the lo speed mixture? I cant get this thing to start for crap. I cant set the idle until it runs. HELP HELP  What do I need to check to at least get it running?

You should turn the high speed screw clockwise until it stops. Then turn it counter-clockwise 2 1/2 turns. Turn the low speed screw clockwise until it stops. I'm not too sure about the idle screw. The carb should be open about 1 to 1 1/2 millimeters at idle. To help make sure the engine starts try a new glow plug and fresh fuel. Check the fuel tubing for holes. You did not say if you were using the ez start or if you had a glow starter. If you are using the ez start make sure the battery is fully charged. If you can get one I recommend a glow starter. Also make sure the air filter is clean to allow air into the engine. I hope that helps.

the glow ignitor wire on my ez start took a dump on me, so I have to use a stand alone ignitor...which is ok. Check yours by taking out the glow plug, hooking up the blue wire to it and turning the motor over with the ez start. The plug should glow orange. If not, there is a break in the circuit that you need to either repair or use another ignitor. If thats not it, you need to see if you're getting fuel. Hold your finger over the pipe outlet while trying to start it. This pressurizes the tank and you should see the fuel flowing through the feed line.

okay guys, I got it to run but obviously I still have problems...It bogs down after running a few minutes and dies..I am using a stand alone igniter and the starter just sits there and spins before the engine cranks over..after it finally starts it runs and gets going real good then bogs and dies. I think its too rich..which screw do I turn. Big one to the left, small one in the center or one on the end on the throttle? which way do I turn the screw? Info only, I just had new piston and sleeve put in it..next problem, put on the brake and the engine dies immediately..put it in reverse and it works then when I try and put it back in forward it wont go. I have to turn the power off then back on...not kill the engine just turn the power off on the truck..Main problem right now is it bogging down...just runs then goes BLAHH!!! when it gets up to speed. I can hold the rear end up and rev the engine up and it dies when it gets up to rpm...pick it completely off the ground where there is no traction and it wont bog down...LOST LOST LOST
