Yep!

Got 'em in 2 of my boats. Nice ESC. The setup couldn't be easier. Power up, trigger full forward, then full reverse, and you're done.

The price is hard to beat also.

The only thing that would improve it is to have longer leads, but that's just me.

oh...not the best on but it should go fast...pike peak jaguar 19 turn motor, 8 cells (3300), Futaba 2PH...nothing else really affectes the esc i guess...if this boat gonna be good im gonna make a fiberglass hull of it and probably put in a nitro engine..who knoes?

I'm using them in a Graupner Phantom, and a Kyosho Wavemaster. As soon as I get the prop and shaft for the Phantom from Hobby Lobby, I'll think about a diff motor.

Actually Porsche the biggest thing that affect esc performance(and life span) in boats is resistance. Both physical resistance and electrical resistance. Physical resistance would be things like hull shape, prop size, prop pitch, and poorly setup harware. Electrical resistance is affected by using long wires, poor batteries, or a crappy motor. The fastest way to smoke an esc is to put too big a prop on. If you use a prop 5mm bigger than you should on a boat the speed control will be a melted blob of plasitc in less than a lap.

I am using the ProBoat ESC in my scratch-built hydrofoil.

I like the unit, but I find, being somewhat absent-minded, I forget to program the ESC before running the boat.

Also, the unit is waterproof. I've tested that; my hydrofoil was very badly built (sadly, there's nobody to blame but myself) and it usually picks up about 1/2" of water in the hull ( :() submerging the ESC.

Not to be annoying or anything, but the ProBoat ESCs are made of aluminum.

Okay then in the case of the proboat esc it will become a melted blob of plastic inside an aluminum case.
