My brother has many RC boats and as a present I was hoping to get a replica of our new 23" fishing boat made. Does anyone have any recommendations for me. My only experience is in building RC planes out of Balsa I have never dealt with boats before.

First, Brace Yourself! It Won't be cheap!
The hours involved are long, and if it's not for your own boat it's hard work.
If you can accept something that resembles your boat it's cheaper.
Don't get lost in details, At ten feet you can't see much anyway.
If you have access to the original you can go crazy trying to duplicate it in scale. (counting flush head rivets & such IS the way to the laughing accademy)
Your best bet is to find a kit similar to your boat and convert it to a "stand off scale" model . It's astounding what a good paint job can do.
