not well thought out but
it will have a ofna body on it or something like that 3mm carbon fiber chassissolid drive shaft suspinded with shocks 10 turn motor like the one the other guy got to 94 with a prototype 5 speed tranny 1st gear 42t 2nd 44t 3rd 48 4th 54t it will have 14 cells a really nice esc it will be skinny and the wheels will be inside the body and it will be about 5mm off the ground and max speeds of about 5,000mph lol jk but my guess is about 150mph and all the designing is done by hand no computer just cut and screw and drive i will be doing this with my friend and we will win :) ;)

No way would you get to 150mph...

no way in heck you will make it to 150 maybe 50 if you are lucky. You need to go brushless or NITRO. Make the body like .5-1mm of the ground other wise the air will catch and as my dad once said, "That sucker will take off like it had wings." The whole cut and place idea is a bad one, you could save like 100 in metal by doing it all on computer THEN cuting it.

Thanx for reading my post,

I am not sure bashers car is going to work but I would be willing to bet that a BRUSHED motored car exceeds 120mph.

This track was built for full size cars, If you only have .5 to 1mm of ride height, the first dip you hit at high speed will THROW your car in the air.

here is my idea... a stock CEN TR4, maybe i will have some sort of cardboard body on it or something. I will then have like a lexan plastic chassis, hmm 2mm? I will have a .12 small block, dynamite or something with a 6 speed manual transmission (like on the big cars... if they can go fast with one i should too). I will use a really cool fuel tank... just so it looks cool when i go past people. I'm thinking of using wheels too, possibly attached to the car? (still in design in my head). Hmm the ride height? wow, this is a tuffy, i'm thinking above the ground, but not too high. This will deff be a hand job, no doubt about that. When i work on it at night (the car) i will use candles and a stable boy to help me (you know, the old fashioned way). I'm thinking my car will hit 200ish.
Thats just my idea of a winner. Your comments are welcome for constructive critisism, i dont usually give away my top secret projects, but i know this is way out of your guys' league, so i am not worried.

I would say a brushed could exceed 100, but not 120. With off the shelf 6-cell modified motors, not even that. However, it will be interesting to see what some cars might do.

Why would you say that a brushed will not reach 120? Do you have dyno #'s to support this? Keep in mind, that they will not be off the shelf motors. They will have some of the technology that brushless uses, like neo mags. Everybody compares a high dollar brushless to a roar legal brushed. I think you guys are going to be suprised. And please don't take this as a brushless bash, because I do like brushless. When brushless can offer the same price, drivability, and ruggedness, I will buy.
Right now the fastest speed I have heard of is a brushed 13x5 running 17 cells, at 112 mph.

I was thinking more like 250 mph, the gas tank adds some more speed. Maybe you should add some green shocks to push it to 300?

Cant forget the Vynal! Reg vynal gets 10 HP, japanise letters get 15, or if you dont know what it means, you get 20HP! And 1 HP = like, 50 MPH!!!!!

Well basher gave me the idea, with his prototype 5 speed... but on a serious note, i have decided to change my idea... to save weight, i am going to use a cardboard chassis, and attach 4 wheels to it, super glue them...nah too much, use the ol' elmers on them, attach a center drive shaft which connects to them and then put as many engines as i can fit on it... how abt them apples?

If i put a hot chick decal on it i am sure it will look really fast...hmmm all these ideas in my head...

I would think painting the whole thing green would add a lot of top end to it.

This is my project i am going to be working on in the winter coming up, i have a traxxas nitro 4-tech and i am going to put a supercharger and nitrous oxide on it i think it will work, it has never been tried before. If you people have never heard of a supercharger go to rbinnovations.com and the average supercharger sells for about $189-$200 depending on what model of car or truck you have. if you have never heard of the nitrous oxide go to jagrc.com and all kits sell for $89, the nitrous oxide adds about 7,000 rpm, If you are wondering i am only 13 and on top of my project i am going to rebuild the engine and change over to traxxases brand new 33% nitro.

right that post is 5 months old, but i am glad you took the time to actually read it and respond with a helpful post. Its not so much the idea i didnt like, its just that it was an overly general idea with a few possible, yet not plausable points.

It really made me feel a winner so i'm guessing it was worth it. Thanks for bringing up an age old post and giving your thoughts for no aparent reason... good one

well i'm sorry you didnt find it funny like most others did, i'm not going to debate you on being nice and being mean and just having fun on here because thats not with this thread is about, so if you have something to say about his idea, say it, dont be a moderator unless you actually are one.

well its obvious you dont see a problem with that, so i dont feel like it would do me any good to explain. if you dont realize why its not cool to act like that, then the whole concept is lost on you (obviously). you honestly think that the humor others find it justifies it? what the hell is wrong with you?

you are the type of person that is not welcome at pretty much any rc track. the hobby is about the hobby, not your ego. so cram the attitude and leave the kid be.

rpmmaxxed, i have nothing to say to you. you want to hop on the jerk-off bandwagon dont let me stop you.

Ever one is entitled to there own opinion. Centhasizer You could have said, "Hey i dont know if that would work, you could try this" ect. Be hounest, but dont be cocky about it. I have had some realy crappy ideas, Some times ill be just sitting there and think of ways i could get a Rc car to go extremely fast, i realize later that they would not work and were kinda dumb, Not saying your idea is bad Basher or whome ever but people that may think its bad should not rag on it because i bet that they have had some lame ass ideas too. beetle dude, that was kind of random.
And about the The kids post, I started a post on super chargers, (I admit it was dumb of me), but it seems alot of people don't think it will work on 2 strokes. I personaly don,t see how they would work, On a regular 4 stroke engine, the super charger forces the fuel air mixture in quiker and it fires faster and that means the valve open and close faster and with the speed the mixture is comming into the engine, it can get the fule in through the valves quiker before the close, making it fire faster ect. On a the rc 2 stroke engines there are no vales to open and close and they have such high rpm as it is to begain with like people have said it would seem that it would blow out the exaust ect. As for the nitrous I have no clue.

Dude, i have had some really dumb ideas and put it on here too, and i know how it is, beetlebz you seem to have too much time on your hands, need i remind u this was a 5 month old post? Ok i could have said sure your idea was a little out there, why dont you consider this....this and this but it just seemed like he was putting up a random post about a general idea, no one (including you beetle) helped, or critiqued his idea. And you still havent said anything about his idea, instead you have changed this thread into a a right wrong discussion. I know this will be closed soon because of your off topic posts so if you have a problem you should have Private messaged me instead of thinking you will be the hero by telling me how you feel publically off the topic of his post.

So i will say sorry for giving him a hard time and writting a post that i thought would bring some laughs. But you have to get off this subject and stop being one of those losers who brings up an old post just to make yourself notcied, PM me if you have a problem, dont waste other guys time who think you have said something in conjunction with his idea.
thanks
