Does it take more juice to heat up a cold glow plug than a hot one?.I have a brand new mc9 and my glow heater meter shows it taking more juice to heat it up but my meter pegs up all the way when I heat up a hot range plug.

Yes, I have to crank up the amps on my power panel for colder plugs.

Thanks !!.I almost thought that my glow warmer batt was going bad but it pegs the needle when I put it on a HOT plug .I like the meter on it .it can tell you when your batt is low and when you have a glow plug getting old.

I check one with another plug if I have one handy. I only change plugs when they fry or at a race to make sure that I have a good one in it. Pulling the plug can teach you a lot on how the motor is doing so it doesn't hurt to look at it once in a while anyway.
My son likes the single battery type of ignitors for his truck so I somehow got 3 of them.
