Are you going to be in Texas in mid-May?

The Southwestern Aeromodeling Conference (SWAC) Open Fun Fly and NIRAC Contest will be held May 18-19, 2001, Arlington, TX.

Bob Wilder, president of the National Indoor Remote Control Aeromodeling Council (NIRAC), has announced a fun fly and competition for indoor RC aircraft May 18-19 at the SWAC tradeshow. The show is at the Arlington Convention Center in Arlington, TX (a short ride from the Dallas airport).

Scheduled flying times are from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. There is no entry fee to fly, although you must pay a small fee to enter the trade show to get to the flying area. Tables and electric outlets will be provided to pilots on a limited basis.

There are two categories:
1) Fun Fly. For any indoor remote-controlled aircraft. AMA license required.
2) Competition flying. Sponsored by Model Airplane News and NIRAC, the competition will include seven events. AMA license and NIRAC membership required. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place competition events.

The site does not include any details on the semi-scale pylon race. Could you provide aircraft requirements for this event? Thanks!
