So i took my Rc10 gold tub off the shelf, i said i never would, it takes to smoothe dirt roads awsome, it handels rough on gravel, the rocks are too much for the small front tires, but i love it.
it needs a new reciever and a new ESC and it would rip

Well you're not supposed to drive on gravel anyway, pebbles do all sorts of nasty things to your RC. :D Have to checked out the Vehicles->Team Associated forum here? LOTS of original RC 10 followers there. Still have two original 10T's myself.

Don't feel bad about being bored. Graduated from high school, trying to get a job (any job), but I'm always left w/ too much time on my hands. RC's help pass the time. Sometimes I'll just sit and stare at my collection of RC's that I use to race. And, like today, I'll go shopping for parts to make them better and faster on the track. Just wish that the LHS would have more practice days or I could drive 75-100 miles to the next best LHS. All tracks here, locally, are outdoors off-road. Got nothing against it, got 3 off-roaders myself, just like to drive on-road too.
Spend, upgrade, race, clean, repeat. :D

Some aftermarket company should make the gold tubs for the newer versions

^ ^ ^ Nah, that would subtract from the originals, sort of like what the new Cooper is doing to the original Cooper. **sigh** it just wouldn't be the same. :D

my gold tub was only run on carpet before i got it though, i was scared to take it outside, there was not a scratch on it. it looked like it came fresh out of the box.
but meh, they are only going for $100 on ebay anyways, why not have some fun with a great performing buggy of its time.

When I get bored, I find there are only so many times and ways I can disassemble and reassemble my cars, so I start to design something new.
My most recent project was a micro XXX4. I used XX4 rear diffs on both ends and a micro RS4 150mm belt. I planed to use a ladder style chassis made out of woven graphite plate, but I got stuck pretty badly on the suspension.
The drivetrain worked, but I couldn't find anything to drive it with (did extensive work with the back of a micro RS4). Maybe I'll post my design sketches sometime so someone else can pick up where I left off.
