Ladies and Gents
The second DEAF indoor funfly will be held on November the fourth from 0900
to 1600. This is a sanctioned AMA event (AMA membership required) for indoor
remote controlled aircraft. Landing Fee is $10.00 and covers all events. The
events to be flown are as follows:
Baloon Bust - (3 balloons, each at different altitude, max time is 3
minutes, least time wins, no special devices to pop balloons allowed),
Limbo - (Start at 5 foot, ribbon decreases until no one passes under ribbon
without touching floor. Winner is last person to pass under without
touching. Two attempts allowed at each level.)
Table Dance - (Most touch and goes off of a 4 by 6 foot table in two
minutes. Flight stops if aircraft touches floor with already completed touch
and goes as final score.)
Pylon Races - (Run what you brung, if it flies, it can race. Ten lap races
limited to six cells or 7.2 volts max for power. Winner of each heat
advances to final.)
Endurance - (Again, if it flies go for it. Batteries are limited to 6/50 mah
nicads, If possible, several aircraft will be flown at same time to speed up
event.)
Simple Scale - (It must have been a real aircraft (be able to show proof, a
single photo will do.)
Flying will be done under simplifed AMA guidelines printed initially in
Model Avaition (page 147, August 2000). It is not the "3 and a CD
guidelines" printed later.
As you can see the events are simple and there will be a open time to just
bust the patch if ya want to. Last year we had a ball, this year we've grown
up a little (the hobby, not us kids) and we should have a whole lot more
fun. Its only for the day, but there is a lot of fun to be had. Ya'll come
now, ya hear.
Athletic Wearhouse is located off of loop 820 in North Ft Worth, TX. Exit at
Azle Avenue (exit 10B), go south about 3 block, large white building on
right, sign on front "Athletic Wearhouse".
