For those of you that have them, did you have any problems with the tranny? Mine seems to pop out of gear or the tranny disengages when I slow down or stop. Then when I hit the gas the engine revs and it doesn't move then it will buck and the tranny will kick back in. What gives? I have it in high range and I made sure the range selector was where it should be and not loose. Any suggestions?

I havent had any problems yet but I havent been beating on it either. One problem I did have (not really a problem) is that all four screws that hold the rotostart backplate on vibrated off while idleing, there wasnt a hint of locktight on any of the screws. No big deal but something people should take care of before hitting the road.

I wasn't beating on it either. Just finishing breakin around the parking and then it started to do it.

Whats your serial number? Mines like 1047, it should be on the fuel tank.

Figuered it out, the radio was low on batteries and was causing the transmission shifter servo to glitch. It was switching from forward to reverse and back again cause it to disengage and then rengage.

Losi4life, I didnt notice this till today but if you push your truck (not running) and give it brakes does it make like a grinding noise? Mine makes a bit of noise and it seems the brakes are super sensitive. I should of tried this before I took it out today but didnt think too.

No the noise is just all the gears in the tranny moving, much more than a regular stadium truck doesn't sound like grinding to me. The brakes are really sensative but once they are warmed up and the truck has been running hard they work great not to soft, not to grabby, but just right.

Has anybody had a problem with the clutch springs? My truck was rolling at idle but hooked up great, after inspection of the clutch I noticed all three of the clutch springs had broken and the shoes were flopping around.

some guy in the other forum had a problem with his tranny getting stripped and also another guy hada problem with the clutch like sandskipper ..but the most broken part was the cvd or axles

Before I could figure out what was causing it to come out of gear, I took apart the slipper and clutch bell. My clutch shoes were in great shape, they were a little glazed from the break in so I scuffed em up, but other than that they ran great. I have had not further problems with my truck or the tranny. Even though it was grinding the gears trying to shift it into reverse when I was going forward, nothing happened to the tranny.
Are the drive shafts breaking, or are people not checking the set screws and they're flying apart?

They are snapping off right at the wheel.
