Ok, this is something that is hard to do at first, but is EXTREMELY EASY once you get the hang of it. I can put all 3 shoes on in under 10 seconds. But this is how you do it. put the spring in the shoe, and then stick it on the flywheel pin about half way, untill the spring's "arm" reaches where the nut is. then, take a flathead screwdriver, and put it on the arm, and push down and to the left "if your working from the top", and that will force the spring over the nut and into the groove, it also slides the shoe down and seats it all the way on the pin. This is a very vauge explination, I'm sure rockinbil could do about 10 times better, or someone else i'm sure, its easy to explain better than me. :D

You can use tiny little pliers instead of a screwdriver. Worked best for me. :)

I use a L-wrench (allen wrench, hex key, whatever you wanna call it) through the hole in the clutch shoes to hold the coiled part of the spring and keep it from slipping out. I also use a small flat-blade screwdriver to pry the tang of the spring over the clutch nut. The third shoe is the most trouble in getting the tang down over the clutch nut. I use another L-wrench to hold the adjacent shoe out of the way. It gets easier once you've done it a few times.

I can put all 3 shoes on in under 10 seconds.
Mmm hmm. Right.

would you like a video?

I put all three of my buddies on in under 10 seconds on his storm pro, which is the last one I did, its simple...stick a shoe on, Pop spring in place, repeat.

It's not rocket science. ;)

The pilot nut Doesn't line up good with the clutch springs. the straight part of the springs are forced toward the engine, this stresses them and eventually broke them. What can I do to solve this?

And what flywheel would I use for the HPI Racing Clutch? A925 or A801. Or can I even use this clutch on the Savage?

some clutches are easy to put together, and some are very hard, once ive done 3 shoes in about 1 minute, and other clutch ive put together in about 10 minutes. Generally flathead system works best i think.
