I meant this for the LST thread on the Losi board, but it wouldn't let me post it for some reason so here goes:

I have a problem with my LST that I hope someone can help me with. I idled through 2 tanks yesterday and it went great. Today, I was going to take it out for a gentle spin and start the real break-in process. I started it up and let it idle for a while and when I hit the throttle, the car didn't move. I looked at the servo and saw it pulling out the slide-carb, but the car didn't budge. Confused, I played with the brake-trim on the transmitter because I thought maybe the brakes had too strong a hold on it. When I hit the throttle following that, it promptly stalled. Each subsequent effort to move it met the same fate: a stall. I consulted my LST manual and it said that the possibilities were that the high speed was too rich, the low speed was too lean, or the glow plug was fouled. Despite being at factory settings, I played with the needles to no avail. I then changed the glow plug. Nothing worked. My LST won't move! Help!

try to put it up on blocks... maybe something is binding in the drivetrain, i helped a buddy break his in you deffinetly need to lean out the H.S. needle, id try about 1/4 turn at a time until you can get the wheels to move. but i think id just leave the low end alone until you get all 5 or 6 tanks through. If the servo is pulling the slide on the carb in and out, you obvisilily have needle adjustments to do. set the all needles back to stock but lean in the H.S. needle maybe 1/2 turn. and instead of cracking the throttle try to ease into it slowly. hope this helps.

When your breaking it in you need to move the transmission into low range, the truck is to big and the engine is running to rich to move the truck in high range even at full power. Even when you go to low range the truck will not move out quickly or sometimes at all, especially if you roll on the power. Just run the engine through its RPM range like you should during break in. Once it has gone through a couple of tanks it will build more power. During the whole break in my druck didn't go faster than 8 Mph. You can also lean the high speed a little a mention before until it quits stalling, just be careful you don't run it to lean. Before you do any of this you should check that there is no binding and that all the set screws on the drive cups are tight etc...
Don't expect a speed demon until the 6-7 tank and some tunning.

Well, I know not to expect a speed demon, but I was expecting it to be able to move. Anyway, I'll try what you said. Thanks.

This is nothing but common breakin pains....Things are just so rich right now...its going to be sluggish....Go back to factory settings an re-start from there. I leaned out my low-end a bit to get it going, like someone else said it is a heavy truck...It take a little bit just to get it going...
