Man the weather sucks around here. Nothing but rain, sleet, or snow! Where is spring for crying out loud!
At least it gives me a little more time to get my Pede together. My T4 and GT2 are ready to rip! :D

I got my body masked off last night. I'm just doing a Black body with an Orange flame down each side and one down the middle of the hood and roof. It's my first try so we'll see how it goes. I'm going to pick up some Pactra spray cans from the LHS after work.

BIGDADDYV
04-13-2007, 04:53 PM
in the Stable that is Big Daddy we have ....... Traxxas Emaxx , 2 Stampedes , Rustler .... Team Associated TC3, Tamiya Lunchbox and Wild Willy, Duratrax Evader St, and a Batmobile ... Onfna MBX 1/8 scale buggy converted to run on a weedwhacker motor .... :D DONT ASK it runs :D
Now the list of has had rides is much much longer ...... I like to thin the herd every 6-12 months to keep the clutter down ....... Besides if they sit too long they are concidered shelf queens and we arent having that here at the Casa D'Big V ;)
since I have stopped my nitro habit alltogether the herd got really small ...... I cant do nitro ...... Plug and PLay is the ONLY WAY ...

sunshine_monkey
04-13-2007, 09:26 PM
A buggy huh? I'm in the process of finishing the upgrades on my Pede and then it's on to the XXX-S Graphite Plus. I have 2 Stadium Trucks (T4 and GT2) a 2WD Monster Truck, and now the onroad Touring Car. What should I do next? I was thinking about a B4 (I do love Associated, except for the TC4 I had) or maybe an E-Maxx. I kind of want to see how much I enjoy the GT2. If I don't get that enthralled with Nitro I might go for a brushless E-Maxx (man that sounds like another money pit! ), but if I really like Nitro then I will probably get an MGT, Revo, or a Truggie.
Man, RC is a disease.....:D

I don't have buggy either..
but buggy looks really fun...even though you don't want to race(for bashing)
how's the gt2?
Although i don't like nitro, gt2 looks cool....
EMaxx brushless...umm...you need at lease 1 grand bucks
emaxx + brushless set = at least 600 bucks
+ lipo (at least 100bucks per 1 lipo) + lipo charger(if you don't have), cell balancer + lot of options for brushless(stronger diff, cvds...)
more than 1000bucks..
haha
go buggy!!

B4 is cool buggy.
but i don't know why associated do not make more factory team kit(B4, T4)
tower only have B4 team kit, B4, T4 RS version..(no factory teamkit, and not t4 team kit)
that's why i bought xxx t mf2...instead of T4 factory team kit

Dude, you have to look at Ebay. I bought my T4 FT for about $180. It was only 3 months old and in great shape. It came in the original box with everything. It also had a set of mounted Proline Dirt Hawgs (the orginal wheels and tires were not even glued together) another carbon fiber chassis, an extra set of carbon fiber front and rear A-Arms, and a FT spring set. That was the best RC deal I have snagged so far on Ebay. I love buying stuff that someone bought, used a couple of times, and then decided they didn't like. Let them take the initial hit and then swoop in for a sweet deal on "almost new" equipment. :D
$1000 for a brushless E-Maxx? Yeah, that sounds close. That's why I really want to see if I like Nitro. I could get an MGT or a Savage for way less.
I do love brushless though....

Bigdaddy:
On the other pede thread you said you were only running on 6 cells.
I'm just gobsmacked you got your tyres that big and are able to outrun an e-maxx on only 6 cells...and not brushless
Well done :D
So what do you reckon about my suggestion of trying 14cells? :D
BIGDADDYV
04-14-2007, 07:01 PM
Well Toothy, my Super rooster is only able to handle 10 cells ..... SO that will be about the max that I wouldbe willing to go ...... NOW if i was to take my extra EVX and wire that in it might be a bunch of fun ..... I actually took that Pede in the video back to a 20t stinger motor for a lil bit so i can do some massive jumping and not have to worry about over rotation of the tires pressing my front end down ..... Those MOABS throw off some air BIG TIME ...... They are like landing on a nice big pillow .... :D .......

I'm done painting the lid for my Pede!
I'll take some pics and be right back. I still have to take the Dremel to the edges of the body to smooth it out some. I also don't have the stickers like the head lights and grill on it yet, but you'll get more pics later.
Be gentle guys I'm a body painting virgin!

And now some shots without the lid for Juntom...;)
The first pick shows the Swami Bar and my custom rear mount....as well as my Mamba Max ESC :D
The second pick shows some Dremel work I did so my batteries would fit better (side by side packs).
I decided to go with a Hitec Agressor FM radio I picked up cheap off of Ebay. The two Spektrum receivers I have are in the GT2 and the other is being shared by the T4 and the XXX-S.
I should have my Duratrax Evader ST shocks later this week. What do you guys think so far?!

Juntom, get part number TRX1914 Rustler body mount kit (Thanks Mr. Crash) and modify the rear mount. I wanted to get a sporty body and have it sit a little lower.

04-15-2007, 11:20 PM
Thanks Crash! I really like the look of the lower body as well. You can get the same body in a Chevy Silverado form. If this body was any longer it wouldn't have lined up right. We'll see how the body holds up. I'm a little worried about the front body posts because they are so far out bt the edges. I'll put some tape on the bottom of the body around the holes. Maybe next time I wiil mod the front body posts as well.

If it goes anything like mine did, your gonna destroy the area around the rear body mounts first. The fronts hold up extremely well.

I took my Pede out yesterday and beat it like a rented mule! No breakage after multiple jumps off a 6' retaing wall. I also took it for a ride through the new construction areas in our Condo complex. Lots of dirt and dirt mounds! Let's just say that nicely painted body doesn't look so nice anymore. It's still in one piece but it does have some good scratches now! :D
I had my GP3300's in the Pede with my Mamba Max 4600. Gearing was 17/87. It would wheelie all day long if I held the trigger down. I had the slipper backed off about 3/4 of a turn. The motor wasn't super hot (it was uncomfortable to my finger after touching it for 4-5 seconds) and the ESC was warn to the touch, but not as warm as the motor. Does this sound OK or should I change the gearing? I know I don't need any more torque. :D
The total run was close to 30 minutes with multiple jumps (most landed on all four), cartwheels, and various other abuse. The Pede came out of it with only scratches. I'm happy with that!
I'll get some pics up later tonight.
Juntom......get some RPM A-Arms on that Pede, and don't hit things with your tire.;)
sunshine, I just noticed yesterday harbor freight has there temp gauges for $6.99, they are all over michigan, I am sure there is one within 20 miles of your house

04-20-2007, 01:48 PM
Thanks JDT. I have a Duratrax temp gun for my GT2. That's a good deal from Harbor Freight though.
What is a good temp for the Mamba motor anyways?
sunshine_monkey
04-20-2007, 01:51 PM
I'm going to use the stock tires and wheels this year but next year I'm going to get some Slingshot's and Moab's. The stock tires don't hook up well on Asphalt. They are OK in loose dirt.

Thanks JDT. I have a Duratrax temp gun for my GT2. That's a good deal from Harbor Freight though.

castle says you are good if you keep the motor under 200, the esc is supposed to thermal and shut off at 200 but mine read 210 the one time I have thermalled it on 3s, the esc will (should) protect itself the motor will not so its what you need to watch closely as over 200 starts to cause issues with the magnet, not sure if its a demagnetizing thing or a heat induced fractures and failures that are the problem, I hope to not find out lol.
I guess I didn't mention, set up right tire and gear wise I usually see about 140-160 on the esc and 155-180 on the motor after a decent 10 or so minute session, if I run 20 or more minutes they are both usually in the 175-180 range.

• Paint tray body
• Novak ss5800 brushless system
• Swami bar and brace
• Aluminum Idler Gear
• 15/86 gearing
• Duratrax 5x11 bearings
• RPM Bearing carriers
• 2 NiMH GP 3900 Team Orion Rocket Stick Pack batteries
• Deans connectors
• RPM wide front bumper
• A piece of metal on the bumper to avoid wheelies a little bit
• Velcro Battery Strap
• Velcro Gear Cover
• Shortened front body mounts
• FLM Aluminum front extended a-arms
• Proline Masher 2000 tires
• RPM revolver wheels
• Team losi tire glue
• Fuel tubing antenna case

Wow, and I thought the Stampede was already wide enough! Looks really good! :) For parts, you might look at RL Hobbies http://www.rlhobbies.com/store.php . I have used them before, and it's a really good place. It turns out orders very quickly and usually has good prices.
I am curious: for my XL-5 Stampede, would the Orion SV2 15 turn be a good choice, or would I be better off with the 17T? I know I'll need to gear down to around 15 teeth on the pinion. Would this yield some wheelie poppin' power?

There are a lot of threads about those motors if you do a search here:

Ok, had the Stampede for some time know. Time to make it a little more fun.
Purchased the SV2 BB 15T, running with a 13T pinion and stock 86T spur on a XL5,with RS GP 3300 with stock tires, Broke the motor in with 5 minutes on 4v.
Ran it today, I'm sorry I'm not impressed. It was marginally faster than the Titian with the identical setup. The new motor got extremly hot, could not keep my finger there longer than 1 second, if that.
Observations:
1) My batteries are noticablly hotter when the pack is done with.
2) ESC still very cool.
3) Battery wire and stock connectors. Wires hot, connectors sorta melted together, or just started to, I got them apart but you can see the melted palstic inside the traxxas female connetor from the ESC.
Conclusions:
I understand the stock connectors suck and I plan on changing to Powerpoles, this is why the battery, connectors and wire are so hot, but why is my motor on the verge of frying?. Why is this setup not that much faster then the Titan? Am I being unrealsitic?
Thanks

It's the Pro-Line "The Baja". I dunno if it would fit a non-wide Pede, but it seems you already have that covered ;) I just needed to use a modified rear body mount, and a rustler front body mount.
I'll try and get some decent shots of it minus the body soon.

I have heard a lot of positive feedback concerning the Orion SV2 series mod motors in Stampede applications. I have also heard that the 17T is the way to go, as the 15T tends to heat up and doesn't provide the necessary torque, even if you gear further down. With the 17T, you can run 15/86 gearing or maybe 16/86, which because of the little extra torque (and despite the minimal decrease in max rpm) tends to pull harder, and because of the taller gearing, actually reaches a higher top speed than the 15T! :roll2:
Although the upgraded connectors (powerpoles or Deans) will make a difference, you might be better off getting the 17T, which is what I will probably do in a few weeks. If you are set on the 15T, you could do several things (in addition to the powerpoles): run a heatsink on the motor; firmer brush springs to increase torque (at the minimal expense of rpm), which would make the motor's job easier; go down one more tooth on the pinion, or up one on the spur. The issue with the last one (shorter gear ratio), is that although the motor cools down, the top speed really starts to drop off, and it loses its fun.

I can't say anything for sure about the wheel widener method, but using extended arms, you get better stability, better handling, and more front suspension travel. My truck used to flip every other time I turned, now I can almost keep up with the stadium trucks on the track :D

Personally, I feel as though ball diffs belong on touring cars, and in no other applications. I always worry that they are too loose in my TC4, and I'll scortch the rings, but I never have trouble (knock knock). In an off-road vehicle (especially nitro), it seems as though gear diffs are the most appropriate durability-wise.

For larger scale vehicles I would agree, but for 1/10 scale stadium trucks I still say a ball diff works great. It's worked for the RC10GT for 15 years...

Question for anyone out there....
I have a Stampede that I put in a new 12T P94 and the XL10 esc. The reason why I did that was because I seemingly blew the transmission in it (it stopped going into gear at all), so while I rebuilt it with a new spur gear and such I figured, hey why not add more power :)
I seem to be having the same problem...it stopped getting into gear. Should I buy the proball diff and a brand new spur gear? What could I be doing wrong? Anyone have a picture based step by step available to rebuilding its back end?
Any help would be great. My 6 year old daughter gets to run that around the park while I run my new Jato. With Summer on its way, I want to get it running again for her :D

A 12 turn motor for a 6 year old! That's a lot of power for a little child. You might want to go with a good 17 or 19 turn.
If you don't have the XL-5 Stampede you could try upgrading yours with the Revo style slipper that is on the XL-5 Stampede. What do you have that thing geared at?
You should also put in an aluminum idler gear in the trans. as the stock plastic one strips easily.

not at all. She handles it just fine. One thing I do stress to her is to keep it moving away from everyone...never aim the truck at someone or something. Plus, since it is rear wheel drive it doesn't retain the greatest of traction in dirt and sand and spins out often on her...which for a 6 yr old is where all the fun is at anyway.

I forget off the top of my head what gearing I changed too. I think I kept the stock 84 tooth spur gear, and then used a 23 tooth pinion gear...again, off the top of my head.
The speed/torque was fine. I just keep finding it starts to slip out of gear. Possibly it is stripped out and I didn't even look closely enough. Or I did something wrong when rebuilding.

quori,
Take the trans. apart and check all the teeth on the internal gears. Check the planetary diff out as well. You could save some wear on the trans. by going with a 19 turn motor like the Reedy Quad Mag. It will still have good speed and plenty of torque. :teacher:

Just for fun have a go :D. You'll be amazed at the difference it makes - I couldn't believe how fast my pede was when the front wheel wasn't in the heavens :D. For the sake of not snapping a battery pack, I wouldn't try any hefty jumps until you've further encased it in layers of muddy duct tape (that should hold it :D) And because I didn't use a :D smiley after the first sentence, here's another one to make up for it :D

My ICE doesn't make any noise at all. LOL! I think the ICE is the best charger out there. You should discharge your batts. after every use I use an Integy Reactor). I'm just wondering if improper charging and discharging is the reason you have no punch from your batts.

Recently put Mamba Maxx (4600) in my Pede. (sweet!)
Anyway, have been progressively gearing down. I'm now at a 15-tooth pinion on a 90-tooth spur, and still over-heating.
Hitting 190f (at motor) after 25 minutes or so, on lowest timing WITH throttle management. This is general bashing in loose dirt / sandy area, couple of nice jumps. That's on 6-cell 3800 packs. Nothing else heats up, just the motor. (punch set at 70%)
Considering just going down to lowest pinion I can find, which is a 12-tooth. But its so tiny, I'm wondering if there are issues with going that low on the tooth count.
Will that help? Opinions?

I'm running the moabs. They are a little more narrow, but a fraction higher. I'm thinking they have less surface area in contact with the road, so should be easier on the amp draw.
But Holy Cows do they grab! On the street, one wrong move and the tires grab and it flips right over. Even braking too hard it just flips. EXCELLENT in the dirt, though.
Not happy with the wheels. Didn't have the right Traxxas wheels at LHS, so I got 2.2" HPI's which came with adapters that sort-of almost fit right. (sigh). But I made them work.

you are right - there will be tooth issues as angle between the teeth will be greater with a 12t than a larger one. It is even noticeable with a 15t vs. a 20t. Try a 91t spur if you can. If you have to go with a 92 or 93 tooth spur, go up a few teeth on the pinion so you're not undergearing (this might be a good idea anyway so you can use a larger pinion which will mesh better). Changes made to spur gear size have a much larger effect on gearing than changes in the pinion size, about 4:1 - 5:1. Hope this helps.

Thanks, EVST.
That was exactly my concern. I really didn't want to go below a 15t pinion for that reason. I'm just surprised with the heat issues, as this is CC's COOLEST motor at only 4600kv. Running on street (no hard, mind you) it seems to settle in at 135 to 140 degrees. WAY over that when bashing. It also take an annoyingly long time for it to cool between runs, as it's not vented in any way.
Couple alternatives I'm looking at: Pulling the big CC logo sticker off the end-bell should help it cool a little better. I keep hearing about upgrading the bushings to bearings helps it roll easier. Less drag maybe? Would that really help much? Supposed I could also go to a lighter battery pack. The 3800's are kind of heavy.

the logo sticker wont affect cooling that much unless its on a metal surface, but I think the endbell is plastic on the mamba maxes. I would leave it on there. Bearings might be a good idea. Bushings can create a good amount of drag if they are worn. Dont worry about the battery pack. All nimh cells will weigh about the same, and the only lighter packs out there are lipo and li-ion, which will cost a good few dollars.
Check your gear mesh too. A tight gear mesh can create a good amount of drag on the motor. There should be a little play inbetween the pinion and spur gears. Try sandwiching a piece of paper between the gears, tightening the motor screws, and pulling out the paper. It should have some resistance coming out, but should not tear. Another method I have found useful for setting the gear mesh is to use your ears. Does the mesh sound ok? If it grinds, or makes a loud noise, then its too loose. If you lift up the rear wheels and give it some throttle, the mesh should sound nice and fine, and the wheels should coast a little before stopping. If they stop immediately and the sound of the gears meshing stops immediately after you let off the throttle, the gears are too tight. note: this method may be a bit controversial, but it works for me just fine. Hope this helps.

Ok, I have had it with these Traxxas hinge pins for the A arms, I believe there 44mm. I have been through three pairs in the last 2 weeks. I have bent my second pair of the rears, and today I just noticed that both my front ones are bent. I have the HPI wide mode done. Along with the the castor block pins bending if I look at them wrong, I'm done with Traxxas pins. I need a replacement. hardned steel, chromemoly one;s, something stronger. I am going to do the mod for the castor blocks where you drill out the caster block and the carrier for a thicker pin. Seen it on here last week.
Thanks

The pede's taken a back seat during the last month (don't worry, I've already apologised to it :D) but I've had some thoughts.
Anyone running a 3s lipo pede? :D
And now something sensible (sorry). Is there any point having wheelie power of zeus's expresso machine?
With mmm coming out soon, it would actually be possible to run 12s lipo :D:D But no, even the pede would be honorably defeated by tht much power.
I know we have some li-ion runners here but do we have any lipo pedes?
after killing my T4 with the mm 5700 and 3S I tried it in the pede one afternoon, scary fast top speed and the power to wheely it onto its lid at 20+ mph, I would say 2s is better just because you at least have a chance at controlling it, 3S IMO is a wreck waiting to happen but maybe if you had awesome throttle control you could handle it, don't get me wrong its fun but also kind of nerve racking as at 50+mph stuff happens in a hurry and a crack in the sidewalk that was okay at 30 mph will lauch the truck, pedes are tough but even 1:1 trucks don't even like 50mph curb shots lol

PRESENT!
The main reason I got the 4600 rather than 5700 was to run 3S lipo. After the heating problems I had on 6 cells, I was holding off on the lipo. Tested 3-cells yesterday with a 2600 (20c) pack. Only enough juice for a couple short runs, but holy cows! What a beast!
Will do some testing in dirt this weekend. Have a conservative LVC set at 9.3 volts to give some safety margine. It's a tough pack, but 2600 is way too light for this application.
I've already targeted one of those awesome MaxAmps packs. Trying to decide between the 4, 5, or 6,000 pack. (they all fit). But I only want one 3-cell pack, just for kicks. Performance is so good on the NiMH 6-cells, that I'll be settling for 2-cell 4,000 lipo for most use. Way lighter than what I'm running now. But you've really got to see that thing scream on 3-cells. What a hoot!
Like JDT said, you're cruising along at 20 mph, hit the throttle and she just stands up on her hind legs and goes screaming off into the sunset. Sweet.

OK fellas you all know I am the old school guy here ..... As with being the old school guy here i want to get the most bang for my buck ... I guess thats one of the reasons my pedes chassis is like 15yrs old .... But anywho I have decided after doing massive amounts of speed runs that I wanted to convert my pede into a total stump jumping wheely machine with thrashing offraod possibilities .... I am also not a fan of wheelie bars AT ALL for any reason ..... So I decided to convert my pede over to a different motor set up but keep the moabs ( because they are the best tire ever created dont even argue its not worth it ) and keep the gearing i had it in but do some other mnor lil adjustments .... My end result is a thrash monkey pede that will take ramps and offroad while pulling a 300-400ft wheelie at the drop of a hat WITHOUT A WHEELIE BAR ...... Its getting late and the videos are uploading slowly so I have but 1 right now the rest will come later I promise ......
The greatest part about this setup I have in it right now is that I get maybe 22-24mph out of it with the wheelies and all but the greatest part is I can run a normal 3300 pack in it for 30+ min and the motor and ESC and battery are all COOL TO THE TOUCH ..... NOW THATS BANG FOR YOUR BUCK FOLKS .....
Stock Pede with my camaro lid on it .. Enjoy ...
http://s149.photobucket.com/albums/...Camaro-Pede.flv
this is a shot of my ramp i built with just the junk i found out in the back yard in my scrap stack ...... Video of this will come very shortly ..... we get roughly 3ft up and 15ft out on this lil gem and it cost me NOTHING to build ...... Enjoy

As I understand it, the current thinking is that you are ahead of the game if you're making power (watts) using volts rather than drawing more amps. Castle has a very good explanation of this on their web site in the Mamba tuning guide. Here:
Mamba Tuning Guide (http://www.castlecreations.com/support/max_tuning_guide.html)
So the bottom line is that unless you have a specific need to draw crazy power from two cells, most of us are better served with lower turn motors. While one might think their 7700 is the "fastest" motor they make, the truth is that a 4600 on 4-cells out performs the 7700 on 2, and everything stays much cooler.
I've found this to be true on model airplanes as well.
Then again, that's just the physics of the thing. If you're racing in competition, and are limited to 6-cell NiMh, then you do what you gotta do.
Then, there's the pure joy factor of absolutely absurd power. Saw a video of a little 1/18th scale Losi MiniLST with the mamba 8,000KV motor in it. It was so absurdly over-powered it was pretty much undrivable, but it was sure fun to watch! Basically a rocket with wheels!
So a great deal of it depends on what you're expecting to do with your ride.

thank you for the info.
i didn't know that 4600 can handle 4s lipo..
but esc can not handle 4cell...
4600 motor ~ 25mph
5700 motor ~ 35mph
7700 motor ~ 45mph
On 2s lipo:
4600 motor ~ 30mph
5700 motor ~ 40mph
7700 motor ~ 50mph
On 3s lipo:
4600 motor ~ 45mph
5700 motor ~ 60mph

Thanks for the help about lipo. How do the axles, drivetrain, wheel hexes etc...hold up with all the power? Would MIPCVDS be a must along with steel diff?
Juntom, I also have the 4600 motor. Runs cool, takes the voltage, can run plenty of gearing options and , most importantly, really lets you give the pede a kicking :D. The 4600 is supposed to be the 'tamest' system but I was literally clenching my buttocks (yes, really) when I first pulled full throttle. :D
And regarding 4s lipo, yes, the motor can take it but the esc can't. If you run a UBEC on the esc (I think), then you can run 4s. But check out the mm factory answers thread before you take my word for it.

what is UBEC?

A "BEC" is a "Battery Elimination Circuit" and it is a feature on modern speed controllers so that the servos and the receiver are powered right off the ESC instead of needing another battery. Trouble is, servos only want 5 or 6 volts. The excess voltage is bled off as heat. The built-in BEC is so small, it can't dissipate enough heat when you run more cells, or in air planes, when you run too many servos at once.
(the ESC will fry, in other words)
So a UBEC is a little circut that you plug in between the battery and ESC, and it feeds off the battery directly, taking the load off your ESC. Otherwise, you would simply use a seperate small battery pack like the nitro guys have to do.
"UBEC" is actually a trademark for a specific brand. Look here:
UBEC (http://www.koolflightsystems.com/)
Hope that helps.

I also have the 4600 and think that's the way to go. I get 30 minute runs on GP3300's and the Pede does standing wheelies on command. It's everything I need. I really don't want a 50 MPH Pede.

Ahh...but that's the beauty of the 4600 - it can take high gears so 50mph is probably just as easy with the 4600 as the 7700. And it can take the most power (4s lipo x max. amps = 14.8v x 100 amps = 1480W = over 1.5 hp = :D:D)

Exactly! If you don't mind swapping pinions occasionally, you can tune it for the street, or lower the pinion and trade off top-end speed for bottom-end torque, and go hill climbing!
(I've had a blast with the brushless Pede scramblin up sandy slopes, trying to keep up with my buddy's Emaxx. Wasn't a great climber stock. But now, it just relentlessly CHURNS away at them dirt hills. It's a riot. Lots of fun.)

Well, the body is just stock, though I have a '56 Chevy body on the way, and another pre-painted one from Venom. (never tried painting bodies)
The only "ACTION" shot I have, is a short movie of me, trying to jump over my buddy, while he films it. Um.... I missed, and kind of landed on his face. (oops). It's pretty funny, but I didn't want to post it, as it might encourage others to try dumb stuff like this.
Oh wait... here's a shot of my Pede, and my Bud's Emaxx at the field...
This was when it was new. Fully stock. (look how clean! Shameful.)

i mean, you are using moab tires with mamba/
and you said it flip easily on the onroad when you turn with high speed,
if you do the wide conversion, pede will look cooler, and better handling :D
MumblinBerk
06-08-2007, 09:19 PM
Just found details on the wide conversion over at UltimateRC.com
Looks like a lot of work!
I'll consider something like that once I start breaking front-end parts, and have to replace things. In the mean time, I've already ordered the RPM bearing holders, front and rear.
Yes... she flips WAY faster than with the stock tires. The stock tires and wheels are really nice, actually. Even at high speed, you can just cut the wheel and slide sideways to a nice stop on hard surfce. Not so good for loose sandy dirt, though. Moabs are just outstanding. They just dig right in. Feels much more predictable than stock.
But if I did not NEED them for where I'm driving, I would have stuck with the stock set-up. It's good for all-around use.
