I am thinking of getting this one:

1. How fast is the top speed of Genesis46? MPH/KMH
2. How about future upgrades? Will there be any engine upgrade available?
3. 4.6cubic inches aint much on 7,7kgs / 17lbs... OR?

Cant find anything on their website

Read this thread! (http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171475)

1. really slow
2. engine upgrade would be a 23cc zenoah or similiar
3. truck is way to heavy, which results in 1.

Thanks for the fast reply. I was thinking of the Mad Force at first. Then Tower Hobbies told me they couldn't ship it. Now I am on the looks for a Savage 25. Its all confusiong as I am not into RC's yet. but the Savage 25 should turn out as a great begunners truck... At least that's what I've heard

The Savage is a great truck for newbies! This is a great forum to get answers!

Well for some of us, it's not about "top speed." It seems like that's the only thing people measure their RC by, it's speed. It's like liking a girl only because she is well-endowed. While there's nothing wrong with that . . . . :D you would choose a MT for other things, not speed, if you want speed, get an on-road touring car.

I don't know the Genesis is looking pretty sweet, it's got its own set of cool items, like 4-wheel steering, a .46 engine, and TX-controlled shifting, to name a few. Plus it is so . . . . .. HUGE! :D

we Might have good fashion But we are so behind in everything else...I get stuff from tower and the guys at the track are like WOW whats that..Its a flash point temp gun..

I've thought about it. Savage 25 or Genesis 46. I wont be able to by either one of them until late september so I guess the truck will then be built a little better with and have a few fixes.

Where can I get this Genesis 46 at lowest price possible? RCmodels.com has it in stock for like 549. Supermann purchased his truck for 515.

Same goes for the Savage 25 / 399 at RCModels.com / 419 at Tower Hobbies

Anyone?

O.K. first of all. I own a Genesis. Second of all I'm sick of people who don't own one giving there opinion like they do (MurcielagoR-GT ).
The truck is awesome. Not only is it huge. It has a .46 engine 5hp, coupled with a three speed transmission. This thing has been clocked at 50 miles and hour. Not bad for a 17lb truck. Yet someone call's it slow. Come on just do the math. High torque servos all around and reverse. The 10 shocks sock up everything i have thrown at it. It's not slow by no means.

And my Revo does 60mph! :D :p I am not the only one who thinks the genisis is slow.... What did RCCA clock it at in this months issue? That should settle the debate over the top speed....

Ignore Murcie, he's been giving unintelligent opinions on more than 1 topic in the forums.

To the poster: If you want to get a genesis get it, but you said you were interested in a mad force, well I've built one of these, and drove one many occasions, and I would stand behind recommending one of those anyday.

Your just another person who believes everything that they read in a magazine. Haqve you ever seen one go? Obvoiusly not. It doesnt take off like a buggy but once it gets going it really moves.

Grow up and change your post color to the default which everyone uses. Frankly I'm sick of your current posts.

When I asked my lhs about the genisis they told me it was a waste of money. This was a guy who had been in the hobby for 20yrs.

Just curious , what post have I offended you in? It shows that you are just trying to start something when you point out something that has nothing to do with the thread, i.e. my post color. It looks like I am not the one who needs to grow up. I frankly don't give a rats behind what you think.

I've learned working at a hobbyshop for 6 months myself that most ppl that work at them are total idiots. I quit there becuase all my coworkers didn't know ANYTHING about ANYTHING.

I personally believe the second batch of the Genesis is going to be way better than the Revo. At least CEN didn't try to overhype there product like Traxxas.

Hopefully the 'second batch' will be better then the 'first batch'.
According to the various forums out there Cen dropped the ball on the Genesis.
Stripping spurs, diffs that need shimming and not hitting third gear, to name a few problems. I do believe they have a 'care package' to fix all their f 'ups.
I don't own one, but the various threads showed way more problems than the LST or Revo. Good to hear some happy owners at least.

Its been a while since I posted this thread. As far as posts #11 and #12, I dont even wanna comment you guys, shame on you. If you wanna argue go to Ricky Lake.com biaaatch's...

I think there'll be lots of focus on the CEN Genesis 46 whenever it really slams the market. Off course CEN will be supporting it 100%

I went out and got me a Savage 25. Is on its way to me by air.

It doesnt take off like a buggy but once it gets going it really moves.

once it gets going.....bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaaa aaaa!!!!!!!! :p

race ya any time, Wild dagger vs Genesis!! :D lol I'll cross the line first, then you'll follow at about 3 times the speed when it finally "gets going".......

sorry but its true my best Dagger makes just 35mph, but gets there in a heartbeat, I'd eat u alive in a drag race........

I'm not saying its a bad truck, but please think of a more convincing argument before typing.

However we all seem to have forgotten the purpose of an MT.....since when did 50mph count if its not fun?? hmmm?

I don't recall CEN telling anyone that the Genesis was built to be a drag racer. You might beat a Genesis in a drag race, but don't let your 'Wild Dagger' get in its way when it's rollin', because it won't be pretty! :) Wild Dagger? 35 mph? Hmmmm....

I did the math and RCCA only got it up to a whopping 36mph! :D Which is obviously decent considering the weight and size, but, it is no where near 50mph! :p It also took RCCA 70 feet to stop from full throttle!

Is my math the same math as your math? B/c my math ended up different then your math!

free your mind!, unfortunatley whenever I say wild dagger, everyone thinks 100% stock with silver cans- of course that cant do 35mph.

but Mine with an EVX, titans, maxx wheels and 20t pinions will get going pretty fast...... :D

they work pretty well, but I found I needed longer wheel axles and alu wheel hexes to keep em on/working.

MurcielagoR-GT: he means that dagger is running inside out maxx wheels - I carved a 12mm hex out of the outside of a stock maxx rim to run it with effectivley maximum offset, as the other way round the maxx rims swallow up almost all of the daggers supension arms....lol

only real problem is they are not perfectly centred/balanced, its close but not perfect, so I have obtained some TTR clod/maxx wheel adapters and will be getting some offset maxx wheels and prolly some good grippy tyres too....

as for the speed, it is great - I admit 35mph is an estimate, but I based it on a stock maxx speed of 25mph, this dagger has the same power but half the weight, and it will outrun the maxx accelerating and in top speed by loads, hence my estimate - its also faster than my TL01 which I had previously worked out did around 30mph(at WOT over a fixed distance)

I posted a guide on how to do inside out maxx wheels in the dagger forum on RC MT.net (without the space). I would post a direct link, except for #1 this site has censored its name, and #2 you have to be an approved memeber to view(need an ezboard account with a listed E-mail/contact details for a mod to approve you for membership - its sounds harsh but there are no scammers or flamers there, it rocks!!)

Do you own a CEN Genesis? No you dont yet you have such a strong opinion on it. Why dont you shut up and stop scrutinizing a product that you have never owned or driven? Never post in these types of threads when you have nothing to offer other than hear-say which is already known, then you also add your own stupid twist bashing the product.

Where did I bash the product? I simply stated facts: it has a top speed of 36mph, and it takes the truck 70 feet to brake from full throttle. And like I said the top speed is decent for a truck of that size. So I ask again, where is that twist on bashing the truck I posted?

Is the vibration noticeable on the dirt from the unbalanced wheels?

It was obvious there you were talking crap. Then you said the Genesis was a waste of money and the guy at the hobby shop said it, people at hobby shops are known to "push" the product which isnt selling the hottest or the one that isnt new.

its not that noticeable - like I said its very close to centred, but it aint perfect, the suspension shakes a little when you floor it lifted off the ground, its hardly noticable when driving tho.... :)
