Its carpet, reason being is because of the dirt. There is volcanic red dirt in Hawaii. Its mostly red clay, and it does not hold very well for a track, so they lay the carpet on mostly just the jumps to help keep the form. Other wise the track would need a rebuild every week.

I went out bashing my truck as well last sunday and the video doesn't do it justice. Its a great track video but the LST can handle even bigger jumps with ease. I love how it just keeps on coming and when it comes to hills the LST is not the one to be intimidated. Great video man! I love my LST.

I just got mine through the break-in process and it's starting to handle like a dream. I can hit a 5 or 6 inch curb at an angle and the tires never leave the ground. I have rolled it a few times but it is the most stable Monster Truck I've seen on or off the track. I finally got it adjusted close enough that it hit second gear. Man did it take off. I broke an axel the second day I had it when I clipped a parked car. Looked like to me that the axel was defective. I called Losi and they sent me a new one next day air.
I read in one of the magazines the other day that Losi already has a few Hop-ups in mind for release. Can't wait for those so I can adjust the handleing for different situations and terrain.

I think the next run will also have update chassis braces, a few guys I know on other forums have posted the new ones Losi sent them, an they are much thicker....Hopefully Losi will tell us we can send them in, broken or not to get the replacements, just like HPI did with the Savage and its uprights...
