Which ones are you talking about? They also have the Academy line also which honestly are some of the butt-ugliest boats I have ever seen. From what I've seen also is that the running hardware looks to be a little on the junky side.

Just went over to the MRC website and looked at the Triton. Needless to say, I was not impressed. The list price is $199, massively inflated for what you get :(
The hull looks to be vacuformed white ABS plastic with decals, measuring 34" long by 10.25" wide. It comes with twin 540s, an adjustable outdrive, trim tabs and a Futaba radio with TWO SERVOS. This tells me NO ESC, though it didn't mention what kind of SC it has :confused: I assume a mechanical with one or two speeds. It also says it takes two 7.2 volt battery packs, though you have to buy them and a charger separately :mad: Needless to say, I WOULD NOT CALL THIS A BEST BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone actually spent the money on one of these, let us know what you think of it, as well as any upgrades you were able to make.

They run 10mph stock. Not an impressive speed, offshoreelectrics.com forums have some info on them.

The only use for this boat is for a removal of the twin 500's and install a 700bb turbo. This will yield a 25-30mph with the right batteries. Which is pretty good. The outdrive has a major problem, it has a joint which will break very easy! It needs to be upgraded to a new universal.
