Has anyone considered bolting a small Nitrous Oxide kit into it, Could be interesting. There would be enough space for it. I would give it a go if I was bit closer, being UK based its a problem.

They run 4 stroke right? Nitrous and a custom turbo. But what about the heat buildup, are they big enough to run all that and a fabricated cooling system too? I think this idea would be too expensive for most. But there is a guy who plans on a custom V8 with 1.5" bore and stroke. Adding Nitrous to that would be interesting. 5th scale is a good idea though, the larger size would make it easier to control at speed.

Jag racing has custom nitrous for 1/10th scale, and about the heat, they claim that the nitrous actually "cools" down your engine. I can see that the compressed NOS WOULD come out Freezing, yet the whole point of it is to burn hotter and faster, hmm.

Is this going to turn out to be yet another "supercharger & nos" thread? althought the tables have turned and its not a 2 stroke we are talking about.

here is the nos site....http://www.jagrc.com/

You mean like this @mouses?

A guy from the East Coast installed a "Sneeky Pete" to his 1/5th FG. I'm sorry I don't have anymore information on it because the person who took the photo hasn't responded with any. A note of advice would be to only use it in short burst. ;)

Complete Kit... Retails: $250.00 I do know these were just introduced to the GoPed crowd a while back so it can be adapted to our cars because were basically running the same engines.

fyi, nirtrous oxide in any form must be compressed at high psi. n2o creates a more complete combustion and causes boost in power. the "chill" effect from the pressure causes the incoming air to become dense. dense air causes a large boost in power also.

RS4ss was right. Nitrous is good because it puts cold air into the engine and an engine thats running cooler is more efficient at making and increasing power.Heat is the downside of superchargers in that the air outside no matter what gets sucked in, even hot air, but it makes all the power by forcing air in.Good boost but not as efficient. Not sure what it is about NOS that makes engines blow easier???Maybe the sudden burst of up to 200hp?

I have a piece of the body to a Pro-Modified Corvette dragster that had a nitrous explosion... blew the whole front of the body apart.

Yeah i understand the compression of the NOS in the bottle and how it comes out cold, but then will it burn hotter when it combusts and creat a hotter engine?
