Nice crash. One thing I didn't like is that the vid was extremely long and had a lot of useless driving in it.

RCReality

Thanks guys... the (useless) driving is there for a reason... a lot of people like to listen to the engine and we like to hear them tell us what we are doing wrong... remember our logo?

Lol nice video, the best part was when the guy hit the car and the alarm went off :D As far as breaking it... The revo was designed for racing, NOT bashing :p

If "bashing" is hitting parked cars at full speed, I don't think any vehicle is designed for bashing! :) If that's what it took to break a Revo, I'd say it's fairly durable. Only time will tell.

Heh...nice carnage...I though it was funny when he set the alarm off haha!

I still think the REVO is a little slow on the low end. My MGT is a lot better (wheelies even) but I think the REVO is good for a small block.

thats some of the worst driving I have ever seen, and by far the worst camera work. Try a big open field, and park your truck a mile away and you will be fine.

That answered my question as to how well the suspension arms would hold up on the new Revo. The only carnage after that crash was popped-out pillow balls, a few bent rods, and a few broken rod ends? I'll be happy to pass the video on to my bud who is saving up for a Revo. If I had the cash, I'd buy one.

I agree with Skeeze about the driving and camera work. Though the camera work is partially due to the likely use of an older camera without video stabilisation, at least it showed what happened to the Revo.

Some suggestions & tips: 1) Learn to drive better. 2) Put on a shirt when on video. 3) shorten the next video; there really was way too much non-interesting footage. 4) You're not supposed to drink the bong water.

that video right there probably tripled my repect for the revo. . . wow. . .

so it comes with crappy rod ends and thats about it... i was sure the arms would break before the pillow balls popped out. . . dang. . .

ok... now to be mean. . .

youre luck as hell you didnt bend both rear cantilever links. . . a speed bump at WOT in 2nd gear?? come on! lol. . .

ok. . . so i cant be as mean as i was about the first vid... whatever. . .

that one was actually a pretty good time-waster. . .

dont let peoples complaining stop you form putting out long videos. . . i love em long. . . short little videos suck. . . as far as im concerned, yall are the most progressive r/c video site around as of right now. . . slapmafro is in at second, trilordy 3rd, and showmeRC a distant 4th. . .

Damn, that thing held up to a ton of abuse. I thought the pole crash would be the one to get it.

Taxxas should pay you for some marketing, I bet that video will get a bunch of them sold after people see what it can hold up to.

I can sorta see why the driver was beating it like that, I enjoy working on them as much if-not-more-than I do driving them. WHen I break something, I think COOL time to upgrade. :D

You guys really need to be just a little easier on your engines... The reason they keep dying is you're too lean and staying on throttle too long. Just thought I'd let you know :)

no mullets and we don't even like country music.... some people may have a southern accent but is everyone a redneck from the south? Watch out you could piss a lot of non-rednecks off...

you might be a redneck if.... you own an RC monster truck.... lol :)

Here is our own music though... watch those videos... does it sound like country? We just opened up for Collective Soul last week...

Nive driving skills, I wonder how you guys manage to get to and from work without killing yourselves or anyone else!!!! The population of people in your village (sorry city) must be small! lol :)

NEW VIDEO: BREAKING (in) YOUR ENGINE

IT'S ELECTRONICAL!

This is not exactly what we planned on because the owner (Hoot) is the biggest kid out of all us and couldn't wait to get it going. This is what you get. Aside from the fact he also drives modified racecars and anything under 150 mph is slow to him. It is however pretty informative with some actual tips and definately
entertaining in our unprofessional sort of way. It is a fun supplement to the DVD that came with the truck. We actually really broke something but it was a defective part.

We just put RC vehicles through normal circumstances and show you what happens... the logo says it all... do you actually think that driving a little RC vehicle around at 40+ mph is natural to everyone?... absolutely not... everyone will hit something sometime... the purpose is to have fun and help others...

We know you like em long but this was just for the die hard bashers (no model made is made to be put in any of these situations obviously, doing what we do it just a plain waste of money to most..) and we are happy with the minimal damage along with all others too, we don't want "good breakage". If this truck is driven around in the arena it was designed for it is a good solid choice for anyone.....

i see where youre comin from. . . yall aint exactly trilordy... lol... what im saying is that while the other vids, all of em but the recap one, its easy to relate and to enjoy and cringe. . . but in this last one, it basically looks liek you did some dunuts, had a crummy jump off a trailer and broke, fixed it and then jumped off a house and broke again. . . if i had to guess time id say less than 2 tanks of fuel... it just doesnt seem like you had. . . any... fun making this video. . . just not enough to relate to the situation...

im glad yall take constructive critisism well... and that youve got alotta bandwidth...

good luck on yer next one and in general, of course...

Im all for having fun and doing what you want with stuff that you buy, but I can't say that I have much respect for these guys. I work too hard for my money and would feel pretty dumb or just foolish to go spend that kind of money on a high tech piece of rc gear only to intentionally beat the crap out of it. A lot of people will never be able to afford one of these trucks because they're pretty damn expensive. To beat it up like this intentionally when there are many people that would kill to have one makes no sense at all.

thedarkness
08-22-2004, 12:17 AM
^^^^^^^^^you said my thoughts exactly It really looks like rcreality guys just go out and try to break the truck. Why not buy an old boat(big car from the 70's) and take it to a demolition derby. It would cost around the same and most likely be more fun than just crashing your truck into and off things.

Maxx_A_Million
08-22-2004, 05:51 PM
...well...

those that cant afford a revo, just cant afford one, and r/c sint for them because its expensive. . . but the reason for having it is to ahve fun... if doing stupid crap and breakins is fun, then do it... this isnt a necessity its a freakin TOY...

as far as the demo derby thing. . . most cars in a dem derby started out street legal and driveable and jus tneeded a littlw work... why do people buy junked cars and smash them together when there are people out there who cant afford a car and want one... because its FUN...

to the poor person out there im sorry. . . but to the people who think people are idiots because they run their r/cs really hard, you shouldnt have an r/c... if you arent gonna have fun, just sell it and spend your time not having fun in front of a computer... plus, its people who ahve fun with their r/c that make the sport seem cool... if everyody was cautious and scared and didnt wanna break anything, our tracks would just be big circles and wed al be running tether cars. . . no susnension, no two-speed, no control... just some gas, a motor, some wheels, and a string...

suspension itself was designed so we could ahve more fun with r/c... why buy a truck if youre not gonna jump it??

go rant about carelessness somewhere else... leave us "dumb foolish" people to mingle amongst ourselves and have fun with our r/cs

thedarkness
08-22-2004, 08:03 PM
i run my r/c's just about as hard as anyone, but i have the skill to land my rc on its wheels. They are not just running it hard but they are trying to destroy the car and trying to drive at way above their abilty.Just my opinion but to me that is the definition of a hack.

Maxx_A_Million
08-22-2004, 08:11 PM
nononono... a "hack" is someone whos got decent ability and chooses to be stupid. . . when in reference to a trakc, tis the guy who knows the better guys are about to lap him so he trips them up with a cheap move or two...

a relative newb having fun and trying stuff, even if ti is way about their skill level, it just somebody trying to ahve fun... a hack is someone trying to hurt someone else and a newb is just someone having fun. . . BIG difference. . .

they put the videos up to perplex and entertain you... you didnt pay to wathc em. . . stop complaining hehe
