Oh my goodness, I have been out of RC nitro for about a 2 years now, and now Im back and want to buy a Monster Truck....I picked up the latest issue of RCCA and oh my goodness!! There are soo many choices!! There is the Savage 25, T-MAXX, the LST {goodness those shocks look gorgous), The Monster GT, the REVO, the TNX, the TITAN, the Mad Force etc!!!! What should I look into buying this time around, I was never a monsta trucka (was a stadium truck racer) and want to know which to buy! Thanks in advance!!
My son and I started with Traxas Electric Stampede. Liked it so much we went with Ofna 9.5 RTR Buggy. Spent alot of money and always had to go to track or run in street. Very neet car. However the last two years we wanted a monster truck becuase we could use in our back yard, on the street and at the track. I have always liked the T-Max and the Revo is really neat. The Associate Truck is really nice.
Howerver, after buying the Ofna 9.5 RTR, buying a starter box (and having to lug around) upgrading the transmitter and crystalls. recievers, servo's and alot of other parts. I was completely blown away when I saw what Losi but toghether with the LST. High quality FM Synthesize Radio (you can change frequency without crystals), two metal servo's for steering, racing pipe, fuel filter, ect. These are all items you will eventual purchase if you go with Traxas, Associated, Savage 25, Storm. and it will cost you alot for the Transmitter/Recieve ($250), Servo's ($75), Pipe ($60), you get the picture.
Check out the Losi LST truck. Completee Losi quality all the way around. It is a RTR and everything is first class, top of the line (radio, servo's, pipe, starter system, ect).
In addition, it has a high and low range for the two speed transmission. This is an awsome feature because it provides alot of versatility with the easy to change manual range selector. High range for street or track racing, low range for backyard and wheelies.
We just got ours and we are not dissappointed. This truck handles very well and the motor is awesome. It even has adjustable body mounts.
Good luck and let me know what you get and how you like it.

Yes I was also VERY impressed when I saw the LST...But the price tag just sort of kept me looking...But I also know I will need most of the parts on the LST anyway...So how fast does it go? Hows the acceleration? Tell me more about performance please!! Later!

i have never seen one run but know that they will go around 40 mph and turn fairly well do to the dual steering servos and it cost so much since it has a $250 radio

I personally like the savage...depending on what you are doing with it...for bashing, go Savage, for racing, you'd want something lower to the ground (Monster GT, Revo, LST, etc) but for durability, the savage is what you need...IMO anyway :D

I likes the Monster GT, but when I read that it only goes 32 mph, I was dissapointed, specially with that type of prie tag...
And yes I am more leaning towards the savage...
