Plan on doing a 9 cell pack for my tc3 and doing a speed run. Couple of quick questions.
1 - How many cells can the ESC handle reliably? Cooling fan on it and the motor.
2 - My charger can only charge a maximum of 7 cells. How do I wire up the cells so I can split them up into 2 pieces? Like 4 cells on one side, 5 on the other, and hook them into the ESC so I get maximum voltage. Series connection I think it's called.
3 - What kind of gearing should I run on my 72T spur?
4 - What kind of speeds should I be looking at?
5 - Where can I buy a cheap, but decent radar gun?

1- If I remember correctly from my Warrior days, the max is 12 cells with BEC, 18 without.

2-You would have to have the 5-cell and the 4-cell packs charged separately, then, to hook them into the car, you'd need a section of wire connecting the + on one pack to the - on the other (preferably with a removeable gold 3.5mm connector and socket on both ends, to make life easier), then simply run wires from the remaining + and - to the ESC. I'm pretty sure this is how you'd go about splitting the pack. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

3- Sorry, no clue, not a TC guy...but if I had to guess, I'd say like 5 or 6:1 overall

4- Muchos Speed...I'm thinkin like maybe 60ish

5- I didn't bother with the radar gun....I got the Venom Speed meter. It's an on-board unit, that once installed does more than just top-speed measurements.

Hope that helped. :)

how manny cells you may use is more directly related to what motor. you can put 18 cells on 99.9 percent of the motors and 100 percent of the time pop the controller. the warrior 70 7018 is a 700 watt controller, how hot of wind you have coralates to how manny cells you may safly use, on 5300 I would not go past 8 cells
