hm me and my bud were talking yesterday and we came up with this.. and warning i know nothing about brushless motor technology or Super RS4s

ok how about straping on about 15 cells or more and use that hacker brushless system shown in the TC 2004 edition. maybe a lower turn motor. what would this result in? i chose the Super rs4 because it has a lot of room on its chassis for.. more cells

15 cells is already too much power on a brushed setup (70-80% eff) for the RS4 gear train, drive train and overall design

Stay in 14cells with efficient 700 (16 is just insane)
--------10-12cells with a Plett or similar (14 is just insane)
--------10-12 with a B/L (14 can be insane with a racing-grade BL combo)

If power/weight AND power are your goal :
Note that the TGR is stiffer for a similar weight
and can endure pretty MORE power

Just to let you know, several months ago Xtreme rc cars did a story on a super rs4 with Hacker brushless and lipo power. Very cool article.

Popop from rcsagaBut you would hav to make custom motor mounts and have a SUPER secure way of strapping batteries.

The TGR is a 1/8 Nitro Touring Car made by Tamiya, and it can be bought with out an engine. I agree though .. A TGR would be a better platform to start out with.

Lower turn BL motors usally decrease top speed and runtime. The amps they pull lower voltage, lowering rpm.
