The Race Touareg is on the same chassis as other Tamiya vehicles like the Pajero Sport and Wrangler. It is named the 'Cross Country' or XC chassis, but everybody calls it the Pajero, after the two most famous bodies for it.
There is a thread on the Pajero vehicles in the Misc. Vehicles thread. You'll find a lot of information there.

will you be going for the same body color scheme like the one in the box or you will paint the body differently? dont forget to post some pics.
btw, the wheelbase of the touareg is much longer right? i mean, i cant put a tamiya pajero rally xb body unto it?

I believe I read someone saying it was longer but can be adjusted back for the jero. I do not like the body at all or any other VW ever made. I will use it for now but will replace it with a better looking truck, jeep, land rover body as soon as the wify lets me spend some more money. As far as the markings I am just going to paint it one color and maybe aply some stickers but like I said I don’t like it so I am not going to put to much time and work into it. I will post pictures as soon as I get it. It should be here today or tomorrow at the latest.

Hi everyone. My VW arived last nihgt and I built it this morning. Sorry I dont have pictures but my personal server is down, as soon as its back up I will upload pictures. Here are my oppinions on the vehicle. I am not to impressed at all with the rear 4 link set up, The parts are verry plyable and seem like they wont last long but we will have to wait and see. I have not done to much with it yet just took it around the yard and while it is not to capable it crawls slightly better than my Chevy s-10 however has much better ground clearence so thats a plus. Some parts in the directions left little to desire and there was a little guess work. This is my first CC chassis from Tamiya and I must say I dont think it is worth what it cost me "$350 for everything Kit, ESC, Radio and bearings" I do how ever absolutly love the "cool factor" with the strat rear axle, f\verry realistic and nice.
