Hello,
I am looking for the name of two kits. I will do my best to describe them:

1) Kyosho F1 car, 1/8 scale, could install 2 motors, very scale engineering and appearance. Had "Williams" in the name.

2) Tamiya 2WD off road car, very high tech, has teflon shock inserts, bronze bushings for all hinge pins, adjustable kick-up, 64 pitch gears in the tranny, viscous coupling slipper (put regular shock fluid in it), carbon fiber main chassis.

I want both kits badly. If you know where I can get one (or both), let me know !

Thanks

The F1 car you're looking for is RIGHT HERE (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1623135041).

If you're really interested in the F1 and don't mind paying for a NIB kit, I might be able to get one for you... :D

I saw that thing on there, and I'm like, "Hmmmmm. It's not a real hot car but I don't think I can pass it up for 50 bucks."

A little off topic but when I was a kid I remember lusting after a car named the Ripper. It was made by a company called Royal, and I believe they are out of business now. It had 4 wheel steering and was 4 wheel drive. Anyone have a site with pictures or do you remember it?

Could the 2wd buggy in question be the Dyna Storm? I know that thing had teflon shock inserts on it.

Ron M !!!!!!!!!!!!

You got it dude ! OMG, that's it !

YES YES YES YES !

Thanks soooo much. My brain has been hurting horribly trying to remember the name. I NEED one of those. I raced one almost a whole summer quite a few years ago. That thing was smooooth. Since it ws not mine I had to give it back :(
Had I known any better I would have bought it off the guy. They were REAL spendy though. I was succesful with it too. It got the serious serious crowd appeal when the announcer would say, "The Tamiya car, car number X, is on a TQ pace". People would go like waaaaahhh ?!?!

:p it was profoundly cool !

Outsider, there's a Royal Ripper on ebay right now. I think it's at around $40 with 45 or so minutes left on the auction. Looks like it's in good shape too.

Jeepinator, I remembered the name because I was just looking through one of my old mags last night. It was one with a 2wd buggy feature that had the RC10 Worlds Car, Losi XX, some Shumacher car, the Kyosho Pro-X, and the Tamiya Dyna Storm.

Outsider,

I just saw one on E-bay. Here it is

SteveP, what was funny was the night before I was re-reading the RCCA review of the Maximum.

Cheers

I believe it was the February '95 issue.
