I am new to electric R/C and need info on Brushless systems.
Lets take for an example the Novak Electronics Super Sport Brushless Motor System w/SS5800 motor.
What could I compare this motor with ?
12 Turn double maybe ?
What is the power like in brushless motors ?
Is it alot different than standard motors.
I have been for a while in Nitro R/C.
I have 19 Turn motor in my car right now and I really need something alot more powerful.

the novak is the lowest power brushless you can get for 1/10 cars.
you can put in a motor that's 4x as powerful, and then you'll be flying.
I can't coment on the novak, but it just seems too weak for me, but it's mainly for people that like their brushed motors, and want less maintnence, not really more power.

The powerband of the sensorless BLs feels a bit different to the brushed Motors, I would rather compare it to IC engines
Off from a standstill, the acceleration isn't that impressive - a 19t with good batteries can keep up with it. (Tested with UF75, Basic 4200 and ordinary 2400 6cells pack)
After a few meters, the BL really gets it's power and then tops out relatively flat.
Interestingly, things are A LOT more different on 8 cells where even the low rpm powerband is impressive. And towards the rpm limit, you'll feel that typical burst, you'll get from a IC when pulling the trigger further.
"Off from a standstill, the acceleration isn't that impressive - a 19t with good batteries can keep up with it" yea but the top end has got to leave that 19t way behind in the dust no may a 19t can keep up for more that 5 feet for a stand still right, i'm also thinking about getting the 5800 system
