Well something has come up (buying dad a laptop). So I wont have the brushless for another month (just leaves more time for research). So with a U-force 75 which motor sould I get---twist 47, nemesis, C40, Basic 4200? Could someone break down what the differences are between the above motors?
Thanx for any help!
We need more info to give you wise advice.
On or Off-road ? Bashing or racing ?
6 cell battery pack or more cells ?
What car are you going to run this BL system into ?

Oh, so sorry! Stampede, offroad, bashing. 6 cells mostly and then more according to what the different motors can handel.
Sorry, I am no off-road electric expert !
Only a few thing I know from reading ALL post in here:
- First, for off-road you don't want too hot of a motor i.e. more torque than all out speed. Otherwise it will be quite difficult to keep it under control.
Consequently, I wouldn't choose any motor with a higher Kv than 4200... On top of this, if you can handle more power, there is still the higher cell count way. To top it off, lower Kv motor don't stress esc as much as higher Kv motor can do.
For example, Twist 42 instead of Twist 47. No more than Basic 4200 ../..
- Second, I would try to get a fully enclosed motor and would use silicone everywhere to make sure no fine dust makes it inside the motor.
- Third, a big diameter rotor would be better than a small diameter rotor for more torque.
In fact, I think I would choose the basic 42 ( Although that is only motor I have ever try and my opinion is somewhat biased )
I am sure someone else, more qualified than me will respond to your message.
Good luck

O.K. thanx!!! How many cells can the 4200 handle? What size is the twist 42? What about the nemesis (8S) on star luck?
Basic are rated up to 65 000 rpm. Since it is a 4200 rpm per volt motor, max voltage is 65 000 / 4200 = 15.47 volt max = roughly 12 cells ( that's absolute maximum cells ). Note that 12 cells is also the maximum the UF can handle...
I guess the Kontronik website will give you the dimension of those motors.
I have no info on the nemesis motor.
