hey all. Last weekend was the open nationals in 1/10th and 1/8th. It was an absolutley awsome raceing weekend. It was held at RAMS club in san jose california. The racing was close and intense. I never really got a couple fast qualifiers in so I was 2nd in the b-main in 1/10th. durring the main I was out and flying and withing 5 min had a half lap lead, and after the pit still had the lead. But then the side belt came off the tensionor so that put me back to 7th, then in 2 laps the belt came off, so another one went on, and i was back out in 9, but worked my way up to third, and only 2 laps down at the end of the 30 min main. Didnt quite make it to the bumb up spots of 1st or 2nd, but there is now a nice 1st place plaque on my wall!!! it was great.

Good job! I heard that Ralph Burch won 1/8 with the Kyosho/Delta car. He's a freakin driving machine.

yeah Ralph's car was just on fire within about 7 min or so he was starting to lap people, that was one incredible race. The 1/10th scale A-main was pretty awsome too, my buddy that I went up with was in it so a lot of my focus was on him, but none the less it was awsome, I could of beat him! and he is almost 20 years older then me! hehe. The only thing that kept me out of it was a side belt! grrrrrr lol. But it was a great event

It's a little strange watching a big race as opposed to a local race. A week and a half ago I was at the Great Lakes Challenge checkin it out. Josh Cyrul was there, and that dude can cruise a 1/8 scale car around the track. After watching from a couple of different track angles, it seemed like he hit the same lines, give or take a couple of inches, every lap. Must be nice to get paid to drive and drive daily. :D
