one question, micro switch is used in stead of a speed controler right?
just full on or off power?

can you use a programable radio to use a series of split second rapid inputs of throttle.

kind of like the old nintendo controlers, ( the big joystick one ) had a switch you could use to turn on "turbo they called it" and you could turn it up or down by a knob on there.

any how , if that was possible than you could use it to get your car off the line better in stead of just doing increadable burn out donoughts.

and you could possibly gear it even higher, to take advantage of the porpotional throttle control you set on the radio, to activly go on and off the throttle faster than human hands can go. there fore it would be more like a regular speed control, instead of just on full power or off.

maby im just silly tho.

if you could figure out how to program the radio/servo to do that it would work, but not aswell as an esc, at least until the servo burns out.....

yeah, I was thinking of some crazy amount of batterys, from 28 or more
for the speed record, if you geared your car to the moon, and just had the micro switch for throttle, you could not control your car under a certan physical speed. I think that would be ok for just getting up to a certan speed - then its full on all the way for the speed record.

I think you would end up burning up the micro switch if you clicked it on and off too fast, but I think promod said he was using the throttle in the manner you described but, not sure. I think the micro switch will work, I am going to test with it.
Drag racers use them, but they also use really soft foam and sticky compound.
Micro switch is definately the cheapest option for lots of cells. Condition of the track would play a part in it also.

"if you geared your car to the moon,"
if you did this, then you would have little to no power off the line, so traction would not realy be an issue. as long as the power comes on nice and smooth and not like a 2 stroke coming up on pipe you should be fine

Yo I havent been around in a while been working on a deal with a new car. The microswitch I got is big as ****...I found it while cleaning out the racecar trailer LOL it was used for nitrous it hasn't burned up yet and the temperature really doesn't get that hot on it. But like 2.0 said my **** is geared to the moon and 4 inch tires so it really doesnt spin the tires...i still do the blip and go thing though makes it just a little smoother... 29 volts into a motor give a little more torque than it really should LOL I will get back when i can but its hard to get around a comp these days..hope this helps anybody out
