Hey guys, would the Jeti Advance 70 amp brushless controller work in car applications? It says you can program a brake on it and have either a hard start or soft start. It's 139 bucks, seems reasonable. What do ya'll think? Would it work in a car?

I had a choice to do something similar before Castle Creations developed the mamba for my micro. I got a reply from Shawn Palmer on that issue. He told me there is a big diff in throttle travel of the stick controllers used in planes. He told me it would be very difficult to get the brakes to work on thier controlers using a pistol controller. Another detail is what Jamie says, throttle contol on airplane contollers is not as proportional as the cars.

I decided to wait and was very happy to see Castle had developed a well thought out controller at an affordable price. And I have found it to be the best controller I have owned for my micro apps...That said, Castle Creations is at the moment working on a 1/10th version. I'm sure the quality will be very good as well. personally, I'll am waiting for it before I make the jump.

For now I have been sticking w/ my LD3 GP for 1/10th racing(GP is the most competitive over here where I live) The electrics is very competitive but not as many people running them. I'm sure that will change when they start to see the brushless cars running :p

Thanks you guys! Just some wishful thinking! I heard about the 1/10 mamba system as well. That should be a great system for a good price if it's little brother system is anything like it. Guess I'll just wait for the castle creations stuff to come out as well. I won't be upgrading for another year so I'm just lining up the possibilities...:D
