Tamiya Super Egress (but with an Avante body)
Kyosho Mini Ultima
AE Stealth Car- It's features included the first ever 2.2 wheels, Stealth Tranny, double deck chassis, long front shocks, long A arms, and the entire front end mounted backwards. The production model was called the RC10 Worlds Car but it was far more conservative than the Stealth Car. Come to think of it, the Stealth Car maybe the most progressive 2wd buggy I've ever seen. If anyone has any pics or info on the Stealth Car, please share.

oh i would also have to take the Tamiya avante. it is a 4WD buggy, and it was shown as a 'blast from the past' car in one of the RCCA mags. its really cool cuz its got those snap on/off wheels. man i oculd use one of those kinda wheels on the diff. side of my T3 since i'm always loosening and adjusting the diff. taking of those lugnuts tend to be a pain! lol.

I used to have one of those Royal Crushers, and it totally kicked butt. I can't remember why I sold it- it was about 12 years ago. I've always wanted a Clodbuster, and an RC10L (for speed), and a King Blackfoot- its always looked great.

Here's my list:
Tamiya Avante
Tamiya Egress
AYK Pro Radiant
Kyosho Turbo Optima
Original RC10
Out of all of those, I'd like to get a hold of an Avante the most.

Any of the Tamiya 3 speed vehicles, prefer the Hi-Lux cuz of lockable hubs, or Bruiser or Mountaineer.

I don't know the exact name, maybe you guys can help me out.
It was some kind of Porshe from Tamiya. It looked like a rally race car with very scale looking wheels, tires, and a body that may have been the hard shell type. Possibly 1/12 scale. ???

I always wanted a Tamiya Bruiser. I finally picked one up along with a nib Clod and an original Blackfoot assembled but never run. All for $600 and that included aluminum rims and Trinity aluminum shocks for the Clod. :D

After some of the vintage threads going on, I though I'd ask what old RC Cars have you guys wanted, have you ever actually got them and if so how much did it cost ya (if you're willing to say).
So here I go.
Kyosho Maximum (yeah I know SteveP has got it) :P
Royal Crusher 2WD/4WS
Tamiya BigWig (I just love those oval-block tires)
Kyosho Hangin' On Motorcycle
Kyosho Phazer/Phantom? 1/12 4WD on road pan car.
Any Tamtech car (no way am I paying an arm and a leg for them now when AHC had the for $100 US)
One that I wanted and actually found was the old Kyosho Mini Turbo Optima/Ultima. I still have it in the box, can't bring myself to build it. Won't be able to find tires for it. I got it for like $100 (I think, can't remember). Don't have the Tx/Rx set for it though.
Cheers,
Nash

Great topic! Well, I started out with a Kyosho Turbo Optima. So I guess I would like to have an Optima Pro for old times sake, availability was mainly limited to Japan, but Tower had a few at one time. The Javelin was sorta cool too. A Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid SE would be nice. Always wanted a Triumph. The Schumacher Topcat would make a good conversation piece, laid down shocks and all. That prototype RC10 "Stealth car" was pretty cool, I'll take one of those too. (I did finally find a near-mint World's car I'm real proud of) Other than that, I like the new Francis edition XXX-T, that's all I can think of right now......

I would have to say the Tamiya avante and the AYK pro radiant!I remember the ad in rcca that race prep had for the pro radiant and how i loved the colors they used on the car(typical race prep orange)and if i remember it right, the car was in motion and the rear of the car was laid down....it looked really slick!! ;)

A buddy and I bought two of those Kart thingies when they were still in production.
We ran the wheels off those things (literally). The best place to play is on tennis courts.
We modded ours out like mad. Used 1/8 scale foam tires on the back, 1/10 scale rear tires on the front. Shimmed up the ride height about a 1/16 or so so it did not get air from hitting pebbles (the stock ride height is like 2mm or something totally absurd). My buddy even managed to fit an OS .12 in his. CRAZY FAST ! I only managed an MIP Stinger pipe for mine.
My Kart finally met it's doom attempting to do a berm shot off a 4 foot tall concrete retaining wall  ooops !
I have tons of parts if any one is in desperate need. I will sell some or all of them at a reasonble price to help out a fellow RC'er
Just thought I would add this. Sorry if OT a bit.

I remember wanting to get the Kyosho Ultima Pro XL. I was going to paint it exactly like the factory model, white with the green and yellow stripes. That was almost 10 years ago?

Correction, Knightshade, the Ultima Pro XL's factory colors were charcoal with red, yellow, and green decals. It was the Ultima Pro that was white with green and yellow decals.
The XL differed from the original Pro by adding 48 pitch "metric" outer gears, longer wheelbase, rear anti-squat, longer A-arms with a turnbuckle built into the rear arms for instant toe adjustment, high fiber content plastic parts, and the ability to use 3x3 saddle packs.
I'm kind of an Ultima buff.

ChumsGum - That's the Tamiya 959 rally car that you're talking about. I think Car Action featured it in the same issue as the Project Frog. THAT was the car I drooled over. The yellow and bergundy bug body, waffle pattern front tires, and those huge spiked rear tires, MAN that thing looked sweet! I want the cover shot as a wallpaper!
I never got my Frog to look that good, but hey, I was only 12 years old at the time.
I used to really dig the 1/4 scale drag cars from New Era, and the project drag cars Car Action featured, like "Grumpy's Toy" and that really killer red '57 Chev with the swiss cheesed chassis.

It was the Hirobo Alien. I had one for a long time. I alsy had a Tamiya Avante, and like an idiot I sold them. Oh well, I guess hindsight is 20/20.
But, I'd like to have a Javelin. I always thought those were the coolest looking cars out there.
