I was drivin my MFE Losi today with my Novak SS in it and there was a big puddle at the end of my track. Well I was goin so fast I lost control and it spun around and the back end of the truck where the motor is went half way under water! Shortly after that the truck wouldn't move. I tried blow drying it and have left it sit for a few hours but still no luck. Did I short something like a fuse out, because I hope I don't have to buy a new motor! By the way the esc light still comes on the engine just does nothing.  Please help.

Try opening the case and letting it air dry overnight. If you used the throttle while it was underwater, there's a good chance that the circuits have shorted. Whenever a model goes underwater, always try to not run the motor. Get it out ASAP, and airdry it overnight. Most of the time you end up OK. Let us know how it turns out for you.

I had a problem like that once, I was driving in the snow (stupid me, I shielded the ESC with a plastic bag but it wasn't exactly a perfect setup). I couldn't resist the snow! Anyways, I wasn't like driving through a foot of snow or anything but the pavement was wet and there was snow on the side of the road. I went over a jump and the truck landed hard and tumbled. Next throttle input I gave it took off on me, luckily it was only about 1/4 throttle, and I could still steer! So I tackled the truck and unplugged everything and when I tried later that evening it didn't work. I dried it off with a hair dryer and by the next day it was totally fine! So hopefully everything is OK, as long as nothing went "poof!" :)

I think trying to prevent it from going in the water I did give it some throttle but of course the tires just didn't have any traction, so there was probably some throttle use while in the water. Does this mean I'm screwed and theres no way to fix it? I let the truck dry how it was over night and still nothing the esc lights up with a red and green light but the truck doesn't seem to respond at all to my radiom it doesn't even steer. Will taking apart the motor can fix all this by just letting it dry?
motors can get wet, some people clean them and break them in by dunking them in water. It's your ESC that can't get wet, let it dry a few days and then give it a try, otherwise send it in to Novak and pay them to fix it. Turn around time is about 7-10 days.

Brushless motors are a bit different than brushed motors, and I doubt they really are tolerable to water, especially since the novak is sensored and has all sorts of doo dads goin on. My advice, take it apart, let it dry for a day or two even. If it still doesn't work, send it in to novak. They'll probably replace it if it's still under warranty, or replace the motor for I think it's around 40 bucks if the esc is fine.:)

Good news, I did get the motor and all dry but I forgot about the receiver! Its a JR and I noticed that when the green and red light are on the esc it means theres no radio signal! So knowing there should only be a red light on I sort of cracked open the reciever box bad idea but after using a hair dryer I got it working and so I taped the reciever back together and it seems to run fine! I'm so happy I didn't screw up an expensive system like this, but your right that Novak will replace you broken esc or motor at there actual cost, not a hobby shop cost. Thanks for the help though!
