Anyone ever had any issues from the SS5800 causing a lot of intereference with their car?

I've moved my receiver/antenna onto the bumper, changed FM controllers, changed channels, changed the location I was driving, and I'm still getting a lot of interference around 200 feet away. I'm starting to think my internal capacitors aren't working.

That's odd, because I've had NO interference with this system ever. Try twisting the motor wires. Look for metal on metal contact as well on the chassis. It could be a loose screw rattling around. Check the radio crystal as well, it may be damaged. Other than that, try sending it in to novak?

I've had issues with SS5800 glitching. I'm pretty much assuming it's just my cheap AM radio that's causing it though. You having glitching with an FM radio? I was hoping that would fix mine....
Please keep us posted on this. If it turns out it is an internal problem with the Novak itself, I want to know! :)

That's odd, because I too use an AM radio, and I get no interference or glitching at all. Maybe you both have a lemon system or something is up with the BEC?

Hey Guys,

Often times receiver will work okay with older, or entry level equipment, but if you put in racing, or newer faster switch ESCs, they glitch a little. This is usually not truly the fault of the ESC as if you put it into someone elses car the problem goes away 9 times out of 10. But not always so you can't rule it out completely. I've tested quite a few of SS's the were supposed to glitch and found very very few that had any problems at all. They way we do the trouble shooting is to test out each piece of equipment. Meaning the receiver, radio, servo, ESC, motor, battery ect. This is not easy for a lot people to do so the easiest thing it to have someone else try the system. It's a great test if you can test it with someone's car who currently uses the same ESC setup as you do.

Feel free to Email us anytime you have questions.

Thanks
Charlie

I have noticed if you dont keep your radio batterys good and hot the ss will glitch some. If im glitching first thing i do is change the radio batterys. I also have noticed that some battery packs will cause the motor to fall on its face. I dont know why it does this (amp draw mabe) But i can reproduce this glitch by using one pack that i have. None of the others i own do this.

I have broken antenna issues with my receiver now, so that could cause glitching. But I want to try it out with some new batteries. I have some new NiMH AA's that I'll charge up and try out.
