Who's going? Any picks on who you think is going win? It's going to be a full field this year with lots of cars that haven't turned a lap in anger with all the other competitors present. The Factory Team Nitro TC3, Team Magic G4 Evo, Mugen MTX-3 Prospec, Serpent 710, Kyosho FW-05R and a few others should really make this an interesting race.

I have a pick...Josh Cyrul if he's there. That dude flies at that track. I haven't seen him drive a 1/10 scale yet, but he smokes in a 1/8.

Agreed - Josh is always fast and he's not afraid to hang it out there. I think he's still running the Kyosho FW-05R which I think is a great car; I'd like to see how he does with it. It should be interesting.

He's on the entry list. It's gonna be a battle between the brands. I'm kinda pulling for Baker and the NTC3, but Hara and the HPI are entered also. I can't wait to see it in person.

I can't believe this thread isn't gettin any action. Ya got Hara, Cyrul, Baker, Blackstock, Tosolini, among others. It promises to be a dogfight to the finish I'd imagine. If your in the vicinity check it out, I know I will.

Alright...This is the last thread bump I give this. I got out there Tuesday and Wednesday for a little practice action. Hara was done by the time I got there Tuesday. Tonight he was flyin, I didn't recognize the car as he was running an all white body with a couple of HPI decals. I'll have a little better idea of who's who as I'm off on Friday. All I know is Hara's a badass, that dude was flyin. Who cares if he has to stand on a stool to see what he's doing.

We're going to have someone at the race providing updates for us, so I suspect once the race gets going, this will become more lively. Thanks for keeping it alive until now. :D

I had to leave earlier than I wanted Friday for a FF draft. If I remember correctly Baker was TQ followed by Cyrul, Hara. Other heat winners that looked real fast were Tosolini and Blackstock although I don't think they have anything for those 3.

It looks like Swauger is the fast guy again with the Mugen. Swauger won the Florida Winternats this yeat with his JP-powered Mugen, and it looks like he's still on form. He's TQ, followed by Baker, Hara and Cyrul. Here's the top 10 from qualifying:
1) Mike Swauger (Mugen MTX-3)
2) Barry Baker (Associated FT NTC3)
3) Atsushi Hara (HPI R40)
4) Josh Cyrul (Kyosho FW05R)
5) Mike Blackstock (Associated FT NTC3)
6) Kyle Skidmore (Associated FT NTC3)
7) Paul Ciccarello (Team Magic G4)
8) Chris Tossolini (Kyosho FW05R)
9) Brian Berry (“Work of Art” Serpent 710)
10) Ron Atomic (Kyosho FW05R)

Thanks for clearing that up Steve. I didn't get a chance to check the scoring sheets before I left. It's gonna be a hell of a race though. I'm not 100% about this but I think Swauger took Paul Coleman's Ofna CD3 out for some hot laps Saturday. That's the fastest that car has gone all week.

Wow what a race...Swauger was leading with about 7 mins. to go when his RX batteries died, handing the win to Hara. Blackstock and Tosolini 2nd and 3rd.

I take exception to that.......NO ONE gets handed a race........He was in a position to win,and he did.....Thats racing.....

I didn't mean he lucked into it. Hara was super fast all week, it's just that Swauger had a couple of issues during the race, and still came back and passed Hara only to have problems. Hell Cyrul was leading and ran outta fuel putting him a lap down early. He came back and passed Hara and Baker and checked out for awhile. In a one hour main you gotta be on your game...which Hara was. I've never driven a 1 hour main or a 5 min. main for that matter. I just got into this a little while ago so don't take anything I say for RC knowledge. Hara made like 2 mistakes the whole race that I saw. He deserved the win.
