Fed-x just dropped off my new novak bl system. I went down to my workshop and got it out of the box, had a batt already charged so I hooked it up and followed the instructions to set it up, I got the red light on, let go of the set up button, and pushed the trigger (stick radio from my boat) and the light stayed red, even after a minunte it was still red, I tryed it again and again, reversed the throttle on the transmitter, tryed again and again, no luck. After spending 230 on it I am pretty mad. Anyone have these probs setting it up? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check to see if the radio is on the right frequency. That could be it. Did you HOLD the programming button down? Or did you just press it? Read through all the novak directions. I had no problems with mine. Maybe it's something other than the novak, such as the receiver or transmiter.

Are you saying that I should hold down the buttom when I push on the throttle? It never said anything about doing that. btw my radio is wroking perfectly.

Not when you push the throttle, but just try holding it down and see if all the LEDs start flashing. When that happens that usually means you can select a profile. Maybe you have to select a profile for it first. I can't remember exactly how i set mine up, but it worked fine. Does the motor go nuts when you first turn it on?

No, it doesnt work at all, neither does the steering servo. I have tryed holding it down, the amber and blue light came on with the red one, green never came on.

I had a little trouble setting mine up. I recall at one point in the setup I had to pull the trigger one direction or the other and the light stayed red, it didn't switch to green or whatever it was supposed to do. My best advice is this:

Make sure you read the setup directions enough so you know exactly what to do. And follow them closely. I think I was hesitating too much between each step and froze up the system. Just go one step at a time, do what it says, and make sure once you get the desired result from each step (like a new light turns on or whatever), go right on to the next step. Don't hesitate for too long. :)

Blue, red, and amber are all on? Never had that happen before. I know that blue and red is locked rotor. I think SS Pede said it best. Good luck!

Try PMing CharlieS. He's a customer service dude at Novak, and knows a bunch about this system. You can try that or E-mail novak's customer service, see if they can help.

No, it doesnt work at all, neither does the steering servo. I have tryed holding it down, the amber and blue light came on with the red one, green never came on.

If the steering servo doesn't work then it sounds like the receiver has no power or the receiver isn't hearing any signal from the transmitter.
I'd double check your radio system works, perhaps try plugging in another speed control, or unplug the speed control and try a receiver pack - the steering servo should work.
