hey guys,

this is for my HoBao Hyper7 Nitro buggy abnd i am running 27mhz radio/reciever

when i have my engine off the servos/radio operates perfect.

then when i turn on my engine, and especially when i rev the engine, the reception cuts in and out. I have been running the same controller and crystals for about 3 months prior, without any problems.

when i hook it up to a fail safe, my fail safe cuts in and out. indicating to me that somewhere it is loosing reception.

anyone else had this problem? what could be the cause of it.

p.s its not interference from other people, coz there was no one else around.

thanks for any advice

I have limited specific knowlegde of nitro, but interference usually boils down to a couple of things in all cars:
- Improper mounting of components. Since your stuff worked before, this likely isn't a problem, unless you recently rebuilt the car.
- Wear or damage to parts. Is the receiver vibrating a lot, or did you remove the crystal frequently? Vibration can eventually damage something, and if the crystal pins get sloppy, it will lose contact during heavy vibration. Same with the receiver pack and servo plugs.
- Mechanical noise. Something could now be vibrating when you apply the throttle. Check to loose nuts and screws, parts that might be rubbing now, or rotating parts that might be vibrating now.
- Low batteries. Check the transmitter and receiver packs.
- Fuel spilled on the receiver or servos.

When eliminating interference, it's just systematic troubleshooting: Keep making changes and trying one thing at a time until it is eliminated. If you can try other equipment, like borrow a compatible receiver and servos, that could help a great deal: If it works fine, you know the problem is with your current receiver. Then you just have to determing WHY it now has a problem (See 2 and 3 above).

Hmm. Like I said, I don't know a ton about nitro first-hand, but I'm guessing there's something wrong there.....
