Getting back to the boat.

Its a PSR Bandit hull that will run in the upper 50's with a stock 260 when dialed in. I know, I saw a half dozen of them run this weekend.

This boat is 100% Carbon Fibre and is almost bullet proof. I'm sold on this boat. If you ever get the chance to see a CF made boat, you'll be impressed also.

This baby will be sitting on the shelf for a while. Going to take my time and do it up right. Going to spend the extra cheese and have some gear made especially for it. Ever hear of MTC ?

BTw, I wrote 100% Carbon Fibre. No wood rails, no wood stern etc... Yesterday I was having the new mounts installed. Just bolt up and go. No guesswork on this one.

Doubledog
08-17-2004, 02:15 AM
How much? ........ its a secret, but I'll give you a hint.

<hint>

It aint cheap... Try high 3's, more like very high 3's

There's no need to justify the price. Its a hull thats built the way you want it and thats what I'm having done here.

Custom Carbon Fibre 100%.

Close up of the prop walk.

Notice the trim tabs are not set properly therefore getting the walk... Normally don't run tabs on the boat because I like it to run loose.

September update

Bandit (cat) will be here hopefully end of this week and while at it, I bought a new Californial Drag made out of Kevlar. Photos of it are posted at the top of the page.

How does that sound?-

Custom made boats to your spec's.

Three build options:

Fiberglass

Kevlar

or Carbon Fiber.

Email me for more info.

Have a strong feeling the AC Lazer 45 will have to wait.

This is the next one to become a shelf queen. In the process of deciding what lay-up & color combos to go with. This will be my Christmas present.

DD, you sound like you have almost as much work to do as I do. My stash is eight scale and one sport 40 hydro, one 1/8th scale tugboat and a scratchbuilt Sig Kadet Jr 54" trainer. I'm actually running out of room in my garage. Guess I need to build a storage shed for everything NOT R/C :D Do I see a framework on the shelf for another boat

HD, this can become very addicting you know.

My wife and I have an honest policy worked out: I can keep a certain number of the larger nitro/gas rigs and no more. When the urge bites to buy a new one,... one must hit the road. *Naturally, you have to hit that mark before selling off your junk right? Just look at the stuff I've got on ebay right now trying to turn a nickle into a dime. :o

The boat on the shelf is a Cracker Box that Andre built and is on display in the MTC Modelbau hobby store in Germany. (Took the photos while visiting him a few weeks ago.)

While working on it, there was a large model boat fest that came up. He decided to leave it as is, but install the egine and drive gear. Sort of a skeleton effect. As you can see here, it was removed, but the frame is present.

I've teased him a few times about completing it or just making me a good deal and letting me jack it up instead. :D
