Todd: Is this an updated design? Just by looking at it, I can't tell any difference from the existing design.

It is pretty much the same model. Some improvements have been made to the kit and all the wood is contest grade.

The tiny should be promoted widely. I have one and it is my absolute favorite plane. I can do all of the aerobatics with the V-tail setup. I get 4 minute flights with mine on a nice calm day. :D :D :D

From what I can tell from the picture, It looks like your only using the v tail for elevator control and only the ailerons for roll. Is this actually how it is set up or an illusion? If so how does it compare in flight with the other control set ups?

Correct, I am running the v-tail as just an elevator and plain old ailerons.
Turns are just fine without the v-tail/flapperon mixing. Only when flying slow at high angles of attack do I get adverse yaw.
Just finished installing an 8 cell 220mAh NiMh pack in the Tiny and flew it. Weight came in at 5.070 ounces flying. Flight time was so long I got bored...! Probably over 15 minutes with lots of loops and rolls. Performance is not as good as with the 8 cell 50mAh pack but flight times are increadibly long. Its an 18.64% increase in weight...!
Wingloadings are:
2.7 ounce per sqare foot - 8 cell 50mAh NiCd (4.125 ounces)
3.32 ounce per sqare foot - 8 cell 220mAh NiMh (5.070 ounces)

Todd,
I am building one of the new Tiny kits, and I must say it is one of the best quality kits that I have seen in some time!
I wanted to know if you would recommend a nicad pack made up of 10 50mah sanyo cells?
I have the JMP HF9 controller.

Going over 8 cells and you void any warrenty and could ruin stuff quickly. Saying this, I have been testing the 1524 on 10 cells with the HF9 and so far no smoke has leaked out.
It is a "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK" type of deal.

Thanks Todd,
Another question:
You include what looks like Kevlar string to tie the landing gear together.
I don't see it used in your picture or on the picture in the instructions. Do you need this string installed? Also what is the short(2.5") piece of white tubing for?

Im guessing that tube is for the wheel axels

The string is used to bind the landing gear to the fuselage. As for the tube...., I don't know unless it is shrink tube.

I take my PF6 everytime I go flying. It is great when the wind picks up and other parkfliers are grounded. Fly mine with the TR-389 which is good for 30 minute putt-putt flights.

I noticed that the forward part of the V tails seems to have sheeting on all of the Tiny pictures I have seen. Do these surfaces get sheeted w/ balsa?

Thats OK, I answered my own question....
The Kit has a built-up stab and the plans on the internet have a sheet balsa stab.
