I am going to put a Lehner motor into my TC3 and I have two options: either the 1920/9 or the Basic 5300. Which one would make it go faster? Could I use a schulze 18.61K on them? Can they both use 6 cells?

Both can use the 18.61K but be aware of current spikes. The lehner motor on 6 cells can probably draw at least 100 amps for a second or two, and probably 55 continuous. 1920/9 draws less amperage I think. So that may be better with the 18.61K. I think the 5300 is a higher RPM/V than the 1920/9, but the 1920 probably has more torque to gear higher. A u force would probably be good for a lehner 5300 (75 amp con./ 100 amp spike). I'm sure Jaime or DaFF or anyone else has some other advice.

Maybe I can chime in also.
If you want a blistering fast, reliable, and a very smooth operational touring car, You may want to consider the Lehner basic 5300, and the Schulze U-force 75 combo, like Electric Thunder has mentioned.
The price of the U-75 isn't that much more than the 18.61K, and you will have alot more controlability and a smooth touch feeling at speed slower than 30mph.

Also note, one of starluck's or hacker's "S" can motors will work great in something like that. A lil more power than needed, but you can also run a 400 size motor...I ran one of Jamie's 400 size motors in my T3 and it was perfect and ran cool, and offroad is much more demanding.
