Hey how does this look? U force and twist 47? With 12 cells max? Do you think I will blow up my speed control or motor at 12 cells (maximum cells on everything). Starluck said he could special order the motor so that is good. It seems like starluck is growing, and growing!

What would a twist 47 be compared to a 5409S? I am geting confused, starluck said that with a 5408S the twist would be the same speed geared the same but the 8S would be faster if you geared more with the added torqe. Another guy said the max RPM for the twist 47 is 50K so it would be slower.

Now would a twist 47 be faster on 12 cells verses a 9S on 9 cells or more if it can handle it.

More clearly....the Twist 47 will be slightly faster all things equal due to the higher kv. However, the Twist 47 will run out of steam before the 540-8S simply because the 540 is a stronger motor. The 540-8S will have the capability to be the fastest provided everything else can keep up. Either should be fast enough.

Bob, be carefull with a Twist 47 on 12 cells because you'll end-up at 4700 x 14.4 = 67 780 rpm.

That might be a little too much for the Twist...

The motor is rated for 81 amps. Be cautious with gearing and use the current limiter, and you should be fine in a lightweight vehicle......not a monster truck.

Hijack! Do most motors show the amp draw in the specifications? Does anyone know the amp ratings of the U-Force?

75 cont/100 peak

Most motos do not show current draw. That is a current rating of the motor and does not mean it will draw that in your application.
