How many cells can the C40 6T with a Schulze 18.129FW ??
C40 6T only 6 cells?
7~8cells Does it depend on the ESC? it is hot?
my is tc3....
It sure does not depend on your controller. The 18.129 can handle up to 18 cells...
So, the limitation will come from your motor max rpm.
Looking at the hacker spec, it does seems there is only 6S or 6L, so I am assuming you are shooting for a 6S (?)
The 6S is equivalent to a Kv of 6942 rpm / volt.
I am unsure about this motor max rpm, but I would say around 75 000 rpm.
Given all this, theorethical rpm will be as follow:
6 cells = 49 982 rpm
7 cells = 58 313 rpm
8 cells = 66 643 rpm
9 cells = 74 973 rpm
10 cells = 83 304 rpm
So, if like I believe the max rpm is 75 000, then no more than 9 cells.
- Someone need to confirm the max rpm of this motor -
- you need to confirm as well you are looking at a 6S, not 6T Hacker motor -
Good luck !

I think lehner 19 series motors can spin at almost 90k but that's pretty rough on the motor.:D FAST! hehe...

The Hacker c40 6T is rated at 60 to 80K rpm max - under load.(this is from the manual that came with my c40 6T) I don't think its very wise to hit 80K though.
The c40 6T is the short version of the motor(also known as the C40 6s). The c40 6L is the long version. I'm not sure why they don't just call them the 6s and the 6l, but hey, I'm not Hacker. The motor does have awesome power in a 1/10 sedan - very noticable power/speed increase over the 7 turn version. I'd watch the temperature on it the first few runs until you're sure your gearing/cell count works well with the motor. That goes for your ESC as well. The 6 turn can pull lots of amps!
