Does anyone know of a way to create a revolving radar antenna. Also, where can i get some realistic elctronic screens to put at the helmstation?
One more thing, is there a way to make the outriggers swing out on a model?? THanks

anyone??? :(
T-Maxx000,
Revolving radar antennas. Couple of ways, just depends on the particular antenna. Rod/wire running down from the antenna to a small motor, or mount the motor in the antenna if it's big enough.
I think you'll have to make the radar screens, don't know of any made commercially. Not really all that difficult if you know what they are supposed to look like. Might even mount a small light behind it to make it show up. Blinking light to make it 'pulse'?

[I was reminded about the radar screen thingy, can't figure out how to 'edit' the above post so have to add another. Also, this description probably isn't too clear. Sorry 'bout that...]
I'm not too sure how this would work on a small 'scale' level, but saw a radar screen with a moving 'cursor'(?). It used two disks, the base disk having the 'blips' on it, and a top disk with the range markers and 'cursor', which revolved by means of a small motor. The top disk's transparency varies, clear 'behind' the cursor, gradually darkening to opaicness(sp) in 'front' of the cursor. As the top disk spins, the 'blips' appear clearly and gradually disappear as the cursor travels around the screen. This thing had a dim light behind it so that it was clearly visible from a distance. (The size of the radar screen was something like 2 - 3"s, in a 'mock-up' of an aircraft cockpit. Sort of doubt if it would be practical for the average scale boat, but would certainly be 'neat'!)
