I own an E-maxx which has Dynamite aluminum bumpers, bulkheads, anladder braces.Gpm rool bar, shock towers and body posts.I want to get a brushless setup for this car for X-mas.I was thinkin' about getting a hacker C50 and the controller that best suites it(the hacker controller i mean).I plan on getting a high torque steering servo and lock it into second.Which I don't remeber exactly how to do it so if you know how,the advice would be great.

I don't know what batteries I'ld go with.Li-pos are a little out of budget and I'm running Orin Maxx Paxx 2400's.

I'm sure you get pleanty of these kinds of threads but if you can give any advice about this it will greatly be appreciated.

Be warned, as the newer Hacker esc do NOT handle 12 or even 14 cells, anymore (they are splash water prooved and go from 4-8 cells and have an all aluminium housing), they where reduced, as so many failed during this hard abuse !
But to be on the good side: they are working on a 90 A 12 cel model exclusevly for cars, i had the chance to test their proto esc, i am really blasted away by its performance and controlability, so the waiting time will be the worth !!!
Wait for the new esc and have fun with the extra good software, there is NO cogging at all when using a 2 pole motor and a relatively good setup (meaning the gearing !!)
A pic was posted in some of my other replies, please take a few sec. for the search if you wanna see a pic of the proto esc !!

see ya

hi
to go BL with the e maxx you certainly have to strengthen your whole tranny. otherwise you won't be lucky i guess. ;)
my recommendation for motor and controller for the maxx is the schulze 18.97kwf with plettenberg maxximum. that will do very good on 12cells and you have upside potential. good power/speed and nice driveability due to the 4poler and good software in the controller.
by now with p&m gp 3300 nimh batteries you do nothing wrong. but as i read there will be a gp cell with higher capacity soon....

For an example.

I run a bone stock E-maxx, with a Schulze 18.97KW controller,Lehner XL3600 motor, and 12 cells.

Overall speed and runtime is perect. No cogging whatsoever, and I am running 38mph with a low gearing combo of 14/66.

As long as your not very abusive to your drivetrain, it will hold up for quite awhile.

Where can i get the Shulze controller and Lehner motor?Plus how much are we looking at for price?I know Brushless is more expensive but it has to be reasonable.I will do a few more upgrades to my E-maxx before iget the brushless.A high torque servo and most likely CVD's because my telescopes are beginning to twist bad with my 2 reedy badd maxx's.And most likely get a set of Supermaxx forward only tranny gears.Should i replace the whole transmission or would that be good?

This help is really helping me though so more will be greatly appreciated.

hi
i think finedesign has schulze products. don't know their prices. plettenberg can be delivered through rc boyz but there may be others. everthing from UE is excellent.

What are you getting UE forward only gears for? Are you using a T-maxx trans?
