That is a beautiful boat. How fast do you think it will go? What made you choose to do the outboard rather then a inboard.

the box sais about 40 but it seems fatser and i chose the outboard because i had the outboard motor from and old boat so i used it to build this one

Is it just me, or does the prop there look a little low?

hey chris... i kinda noticed that too. i've found that mine runs best with the prop about 1/8" below the keel. that's why those adjustable mounts are so great.

the reason the prop looks so low is that the mount has the motor as low as it can go and i got it on the lake today and it was a blast after adjusting the trim tabs and the motor she flies i love it

Thats one of the best looking paint jobs I've seen on the 31" mono. Simple, yet very very clean!

That boat and I go waaay back. You hit 30+ with it, let me know. I want to see the setup alright.:D

The first thing I remember doing with mine when I bought it was replacing those heavy Stainless Steel trim tabs with some made from ally. (at least thats what the Prather kit for it came with 18 years ago)

i was helped with my setup by my dad he adjusted the motor so the prop was even with the botom of the transom and angled the motor forward a little bit and that thing cranks. a little bit shaky in the turns but it goes

I want to see more of these kinds of boats. I love the setup on it. Im planning a Deep Vee 40 with twin k & b 3.5cc sx outboards. Something alittle wild for the lake. Once I get started, ill post pics. Probably sometime next month.
