from what i heard is that you can charge at different rates during the charge. start at 4 amps, then go to 6 amps and then end at 5 amps.
you can alter the charge rate any way you want. i wonder why competition electronics did not put this feature on the gfx.

Is this feature useful? Also What is Peak Volt Detection?, curently it is set a .044 I run high end Lightspeed 3300's.

there was a discussion here or on another forum that caught my attention. i am planning to get one later to try. they did mention not to set the final amp charge above 5 because the battery gets hot. i cant explain peak detect, but .044 sounds right. i have been using my pitbull and measuring the peak voltage with a temp guage to make sure the battery does not get hot.

You can manually change the charge rate during charge on the GFX,guess they figured that was good enough.

Why would you want to use Triple Rate, does it help in the chargeing of the batteries?

The triple rate function is being used alot over in Japan, where they claim to get a little more zip out of the battery by starting off low, high amps in the middle, and slow down for the final to keep the heat down while the charger looks for a peak. I have the X3 and am very happy with it, but don't use the triple rate function.
