I have 150 to get a 3 Channel Radio. What'd you choose. Just need the Receiver and Transmitter for 150.. So far MX3, Futaba 3PM, Hitec SRX, KO Propo EX-1 Mars, And also JR Xs3i?

Out of all the radios you have listed, the only one I own is the MX3. I simply love it. The guy at my LHS talked me into getting it, and I was hesitant because I thought he only wanted to get rid of it. I got it, put it on my truck, and dont know how I drove without it. Im sure all the radios are great, but I cant comment on them b/c I havent owned them, but I dont think you can go wrong with buying the MX3. Its basacilly a M8 without some features that I would never use and much cheaper. (Also I think Airtronics name speaks for itself)
for a few dollars more get a jr xs3 or the new airtronics mx3. both are synthesized. the jr does come with a metal gear servo for steering. if you cant afford a little more then look for a mx3 old style.(still uses crystals)
i have seen them as low as $99.00
the futaba is another good choice.

Without a doubt your best bet would be the MX-3.
neuspeed,
have you looked at the jr xr3. this is an older version 3 channel radio.
i have one for sale with three receivers. $130.00

Am I reading it correctly on Tower Hobbies, that the MX-3's Rx doesnt have a BEC? When I eventually get an FM radio (in this same price range), it's for a 2 channel electric truck, I need a BEC.

it should come with a BEC, most if not all radios today have BEC

It has BEC, it just comes with the 4 Cell battery holder for nitro cars. Click on the link for the Receiver and under the features it clearly stated "BEC".

Thanks. It makes sense that it should have a BEC, I guess I was just reading something wrong. Someday I'll get an FM radio, I was thinking something really simple like the Hitec aggressor. But if the MX-3 is not too complicated for me to use (and will work with my JR servo), I might get that. :)

Nuespeed,
Horizon hobby just dropped the price by $30 of the XR3i, so it's under the 150 mark. I have one, and love the feel of it. Futaba a close second.
Later.
