I hate to make a thread when another servo thread is right here, but I felt I wouldnt get enough publicity if I posted this question in the "Hitec 5645 Servo dead?" thread. So here goes, today I was at the track and on my last pack the servo felt kinda funny. I put it on the bench and notice that it would turn left quickly, and right a little slower, I noticed that my transmitter batteries were almost dead so I though that for sure that was the problem. When I got home I put in new batteries and still have the problem. Next I thought that maybe the linkage was binding, so I took it all apart and everything was fine. By now I knew the problem was in the servo, and when the servo was not connected (free in the air) you could ghear it slowing down in one direction. So now I took it all apart and took out all the gears and spun the motor, I could feel resisitance in one direction, but couldnt figure out how to take out the servo motor so I left it at that. I cleaned all the gears and put it together and it got a little better, but still is lagging. Does anyone know why it would do that? It's a Hitec 625MG servo in a T4. Thanks for you're help.

sounds like the servo is shot. Try sending it in to hitec. they can fix the problem for like $10 plus shipping.

Well today I brought the car to the track to get some practicing in and on my second pack the servo quit. No movement at all. I was looking into returning it to Hitec, but the service is $18, and shipping and handling will add probably another 10. I'd rather go with a new servo, I was looking at a Futaba S3305

anyone have any experience with this servo? Thanks again.

its only a little faster then a stock servo (not sure how fast it compares to your hitec) but its got a lot of tourqe....it would be a great truck servo.
