what turn motor do i have

i recently bought a losi xxx buggy on ebay. it came with a reedy modified ultra sonic motor. the can of the motor is pink. by chance is the color a code for what turn motor it is. i am trying to figure out what turn motor it has. thanks

I wouldnt rely on the can to determine the wind of the armature. Look inside the can through the cooling holes and the arm should have the wind marked on it, more than likely on a tag.

Agreed, Trinity was the only company I can remember that's ever color-coded their cans to indicate what the motor's wind is. Probably your best bet would be to take that motor apart & look on the metal segments of the armature(also called the poles, what the wire in a motor is wrapped around) for any markings, stampings or engravings. Most of Reedy's motors are marked that way, just look for something like 10xdbl, or 15xsgl, something like that.... :cool:
