i put a fairly used 645mg in my ultra comp yesterday, i used the same servo in my maxx and then in my revo, and now my buggy. but the thing is , it performed like it was new after 15 minutes of rolling around in the street (i was on the 3rd tank of the break-in, so no eratic driving) and then all of of sudden for about 10 seconds it starting glitching like a mad man and then i lost control of the steering servo. so now everytime i time i turn the tx/rx on the servo turns the wheels left and and torques theit down to the point where it looks like the turnbuckle is gonna snap from the stress.

so anyone have an idea of what could be wrong? it never had any acces to water or anything

Same thing happened to me. something went wrong in the circuit board and it causes the motor to run 1 way constantly. I bet it got really hot also. send it in they should repair it for you or give you a new one.

Sounds like the potentiometer is dirty. If you open up the case the and look up into the case from the bottom, the pot is at the top of the case the opposite end to the motor. Give it a good squirt with non-residue electrical contact cleaner and twiddle the spindle and if should clean itself.

Same thing happened to me (again with a 645MG), and cleaning the pot worked just fined.

If you 'waterproof' the case with sealant when you rebuild it you get less troubles due to dirt/moisture ingress.

Hope that helps.
