As long as AE is partnered with Yokomo, I don't think they'll ever make a 4WD. Why sink all the time and money into developing a 4WD buggy when their partner already makes rather nice ones? I just wouldn't make good business sense. I admit, it would be nice to see a 4WD buggy with the AE name, parts availability and hopup options, but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. If AE ever had intentions to make a 4WD buggy they would have started long ago...

thats what this survey is for . so i could show them what the people really want, and right now there consindering it, all they have to do to make a4wd buggy is make new front and rear arms, shock towers ,shocks, cvds, rims, and a body, and use the tc3 platform. and as for there partner yokomo , wha would you do if your so called partners just beat them in the worlds. they both have towering cars so why not buggys? and yokomo dont have a 4wd buggy on the market that can compete with the xx4!

gokou survey answer--it would be nice to see a 4WD buggy with the AE name.
OH YEA! Even if it is a Yokomo or whatever with AE's name, ill but it! Bake sure its just a little better than the Yok. though.

That would be like Ford making a car identical to the mustang just a different look. They would be competing with them selves. I LOVE Associated and I would love to see a 4wd buggy by Associated but I don't think its going to happen.

yeah, but if you say AE's partner already had a 4w drive touring car, the MR4TC, thats was quite a nive car, but AE can out with one even better, you never know, maybe when AE got into 4WD with the TC# theyt were developing a buggie to but did want it to get out, you nevver know

i don't think ae is concerned about putting out a product that would be in direct compition with yokomo, they put the tc3 on the market and it looks to me that it is out selling the yokomo(but its getting spanked on the track by the yokomo).
What i'm really wondering is when ae or losi will enter the 1/8 scale market.

AE used to make 1/8 scale cars. I think they discontined them about 2 years ago.

AE ought to step out and make a 4WD buggy. Either that or make a 4th generation of RC10s

i need you guys to get some more people to reply to this board so i can send it to associated and show them what the people want! and by the way associated isnt geting there asses kicked on the track they came in second at the worlds and had 5 of the top ten cars there. its just hard to beat maisami
barry baker and all those other guys, yokomo has the best touring car drivers there is but ae isnt far behind!
If they made a electic one, then they wouldn't be competeing with yokomo. yokomo makes one but it's nothing compared to the xx4. ae should make one to beat/compete the xx4. just my 2 cents

OK Lets not forget the latest IFMAR race, Mark Pavidis' TC3 was the fastest car there and got 2nd place thanks to some rude driving. But a 4wd buggy based on the tc3 sounds like a good idea w/ some modifications, oh and maybe an aluminum shaft would be better for the rigors of off-road racing, wouldnt want that shaft snapping in 2.

I would love a 4wd buggy from Assc. But I would rather they built it from the ground up. Then they won't have to be forced to stick with undesired handling problems that if any come with the chassis. Remember Assc came out with the TC3 and stated that it was not a converted offroad buggy.

i know the exact reason why AE won't make the 4wd it is probably because yokomo makes the motor cans for reedy that is why the yokomo motors stopped being made cause they were too cheap, the reason why they were so cheap was because yokomo made the entire motor thats why it was half the price then a reedy modified. didn't anybody notice this on their motors, just take a good look at the top of the motor it is right next to the end bearing. it says yokomo on every AE motor. im sure thats not the only reason, because ae made a 4wd on-road that is the best and yokomo already makes one. so they might make it in the future just like they weren't gonna make a gas tc3.

the xx4 is not undefeated uhhh hello the YOKOMO MX4 whooped it the first year the MX4 came out and the reason they don't race it anymore is cause yokomo wants the drivers to use the new buggy which is the cheaper version which cuts the price in half, they would race it but it cost too much money and they weren't making enough money with it it was $300 for the kit. and now they got the new MR4BC and i heard almost everyone that has it wishes they got the MX4. i know for a fact that the MX4 is better. i have one i baught from a sponsered guy and i payed $300 for it and it has all the upgrades and a $1000 bucks in tires professionally glued yes i said a $1000 dollars . here check it out. www.geocities.com/mrtc3 (http://www.geocities.com/mrtc3)

leaving the topic for a sec yokomo mx4 is a decent 4wd buggy just simply and is not one of the two best made 4wd buggys why dont you go buy three cars xx4 cat 3000 and mx4 run them all take there times and youll find that both cat 3000 and the xx4 better and more race worhty and thats the reason they dont race it, why pay racers to race races that there car cant when.

Hey atm, Ford did make a mustang lookalike in the 80's. It was under the mercury capri nameplate. It was identical to the LX model 'stangs, except for a diferent grille. So it is possible for AE to take a Yoke buggy, add a lil' somin, somin to make it different, and put it on the market.
On to the real topic, a 4wd buggy would be sweet, but only if is good enough to compete with the xxx, and is at a reasonable price spot in the market to intice more buyers to get it.
That's my $.10, and keep the change! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
