radio help

i just purchased a hpi micro of ebay that came with eerything but the radio, it has a novak xxl 75mhz FM reciever i belive what is the cheapest radio that i can use for this, mind you i dont race i just mess around with friends on my free time

First of all welcome to the boards! Any radio will work as long as it is an FM radio. You can use an AM radio but you would have to use the reciever that comes with the radio system and not the novak one because FM and AM are not interchangeable. The cheapest FM radio is probably the Hitec Agressor or however you spell it.

okay but the box that the reciever came in says that the novak is made for Futaba does this matter or can i still use any FM radio, also do i have to use a 2ch or can i use a 3ch or whatever else as long as it has 2ch's
