I know the big thing in cars and buggies is the slide carb. They are supposed to have better response I think. Are they better than the rotary carb in boats also?

Not really any better. They are good if you are on and off the throttle a lot but most of us just run wide open or nothing. No fun in going slow!

I like gunning the hammer, but I also like 1/2 throttle also. Looks more scale. I know, I know, I have corn growing all around me.
Don't get me wrong I am a speed freak. I just think it looks more like a real boat at 1/2 throttle.

One good thing about being able to slow down then nail the throttle is you know that you have the carb settings right where you need them. Even in racing, it's nice to be able to slow down if you're trying to hit the clock when it hits zero.

Where you from BurnZ? Unless you live in Indiana like I do, I bet I have more corn growing around me :D

I've yet to talk to anyone from IN on here. I also have to boat alone. :(

You can usually see several fields of it down each road. Are there many lakes and rivers where you live 911?

I've never really been out of the South. Been to Florida, Georgia, North & South Carolina, passed through Alabama (as fast as I could :D ) I did go to D.C. once though.
